I'm not opposed to loans but as dan said there has to be an option to buy or if not then we need to loan till the end of the season. As for vela personally i think we can do better although a bit of pace wouldn't go a miss just the wrong option for me.
We are all talking about strikers and i know nothing about this guy apart from he's 3rd top scorer in the league he only has 6 months left on his contract and i imagine would be pretty cheap, only downside is he only signed for his current club in july so not sure if he's allowed to move clubs again in the same season plus he might be rubbish and just very lucky. Anyone know more about Ricardo Vaz Te.
Vaz Te was spoken about from post 497 onwards. http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...indow-The-Rumour-Thread?p=1967596&post1967596
I'm beginning to worry that there are no players out there that fans consider good enough for Saints Luckily, it's not us that will make that decision.
agreed, i was really referring to the way we have used loans since NC took charge - think with the exception of Antonio all of the loans have been with a view to a perm? even that one nearly became perm. its a much better way IMO as not only do a club get to run the rule over a player before signing but the player also has to play their best to earn the move - instead of knowing they arent just heading back soon regardless so they may just feel its a stop gap. committment to the cause always yields the best results and this is a good way to optimise it.
Definite no to Vaz Te. He's in good form. But form is temporary, class is permanent. He's been sh*t his whole career to this point. Unfortunately, I think Hooper is slightly out of our reach. Being realistic, that is. I think he may want to join us with the Adkins connection and with a real possibility of Premier League football next season, but Celtic will want a hefty sum for arguably their best player. Billy Sharp it seems is off to Leicester, chasing the money probably. It doesn't seem like the right deal for both parties really, it hasn't since it came close in the summer. It'll probably be a surprise signing like De Ridder.
This has just popped up, Mail think we are going to loan Falque from Spurs. See link for details. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...0/Tottenham-loan-Southampton-Iago-Falque.html
Adkins post match interview [after Coventry] was very ambiguous; the hint of a major signing, of minor signings and then mentioned possible loan deals. I would not be surprised if the 'major signing' was actually a loan deal… just a feeling...
Not sure if already posted..apparently on loan to us from Tottenham.. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ail&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed
i belive that there will be a signing tomorrow midday onwards does keep on the look out for it, also about that falque i believe he is fed up with not gettin any football at spurs as he moved there on loan at we are intrested in him out even though his current club is juvents something might be able to happen who knows thats the transfer window
