    There wasn't exactly an abundance of good candidates was there? Hughes was certainly better than the others! Even if he hits the ground walking he'll be going faster than we've managed of late. Give him a chance!

    Tbh almost any new charge is likely to energise our run down batteries right now. Thereafter I'll be expecting Hughes to deliver in all departments. He's got the nouse, contacts, record, funds etc.. I'm happy enough with the appointment and looking forward to sitting back to a reasonable performance without having to chew my nails to the bone!

    After all there was always the possibility of someone seeing something rose tinted in the likes of Sven, McClaren or Wilkins... wouldn't be the first time would it?!
