    I understood we paid £1.3m for him, and if Brighton offer that i would personally take it as i suspect that McLean would be up for the move. Also when King arrives i reckon he's destined to take McLeans place in the side anyway

    As long as better quality is coming in to replace him, I suppose it's no big deal. But I don't think Barmby will want to sell an established player at his point of the seaason. As others have said, it's January, this is what goes on in January - bids are made and rejected all the time.

    It's Forster. And yes, it is Darren Caskey's son. Looks alright, but won't be there long. He's under 18 and has scored a goal. That means that before the transfer window is out, Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona will all be 'watching him', somebody will have complied a youtube video of his skills and goals (which as it stands would be about 10 seconds long) and he will be linked to Fabio Capello's England Squad.

    I really like Aaron, he works all day long for the team and seems to be a positive influence in the dressing room.

    That being said, if we was to bring in a couple more attacking players, such as King/Sharp/Maynard/Hammill/Striker X/Winger Y etc... then (especially because of only 5 being allowed on the bench), we would probably need to move one or two players out, just so they aren't sat twiddling their thumbs.

    I don't want him to leave, I think he is good for the club, and currently he'd be my preferred striker. But if we are going to bring in King and one more attacking player (striker or winger), then that means at least one of Mclean/Fryatt/Simpson isn't even going to make the bench.

    I like his attitude and applaud his effort, but he has not torn the Championship apart. Hard to say if I would want him to go or not. He like others may just need a bit more time.

    It would make sense for Brighton. Mclean and MS had a good goalscoring partnership.

    I was impressed she got up after that.

    McShane excepted who is in serious need of an exorcism, given we are in the position we are I'd be surprised if Nick let anyone go whose been in or around the first team when the team is getting to grips with Nick's way of playing. Especially one who is obviously the life and soul in the dressing room, team spirit is worth at least 1 extra player.

    I was stood just in-front of that woman it took her clean of her feet. ... god she took it well but she did look bloody rough after it.

    Aaron scored a bloody good goal that day!!!!

    We only need to let him go if it was to make more funds available for better signings, but he does a job for us ATM and I feel he is getting better.

    <cheers>

    Mclean always looks Marneyesque in the warm up, it always concerns me.

    I know Nick wasn't bothered about him moving on if we got a decent bid, but I wonder if his last couple of performances might have changed that opinion a bit.

    I assume we'll find out, if Brighton actually do stick in a bid.

    you must have been stood next to me. I was leaning on the barrier in front of her with my son and i really did duck as the ball flew over me and hit her. She did eventually get first aid help after me and others around encouraged and all she could do was laugh. Do you know if she broke her jaw?

    Incidently was it you threw the flare then as he was also stood next to us? Go on own up. I wont tell anyone!

    At least she might have an understanding now what it feels like to head a ball.
