With the upcoming league schedule, and a strengthened squad, we should be able to reap some points?

I believe that 11 pts could be realistic haul from these games? 28 pts would look pretty good come Feb 11th?

    HUGHES' START AS QPR BOSS

    15 January v Newcastle (a) - DRAW - 1 pt
17 January v MK Dons (FA Cup third round replay, (h) - WIN to get Chelsea at home in next round
    21 January v Wigan (h) - WIN - 3 pts
    1 February v Aston Villa (a) - DRAW - 1 pt
    4 February v Wolves (h) - WIN - 3 pts
    11 February v Blackburn (a) - WIN - 3 pts

Even with the new manager plus Tiote and Ba out for them I think a point would be an incredible result at Newcastle without Faurlin, Taarabt, Barton and Traore. With a couple of signings the others aren't unrealistic. 5 points at least from the Wigan, Wolves and Blackburn games is a must.

If we can get those results i'd be totally ecstatic and totally paraletic.

We are taking a very weak team to Newcastle, I would just like to see a good performance really, not too bother about the result. Our season start on 17 January against MK Dons

15 points no compromise. If he can't win those games get rid.
    He is a drunken hooligan.
Walking around with his hand in his pocket like Mourinho.

For the Newcastle game, I really hope we are not forced to play the type of team (see attached) that lost 0-2 at Wigan (although the week before that we managed to beat Everton 0-1 away).

    QPR
    01 Kenny
    05 Hall (Harryman 61)
    06 Gabbidon
    15 Perone
    16 Connolly
    04 Derry
    07 Taarabt
    11 Faurlin
    14 Buzsaky (Bothroyd 72)
    19 Agyemang
    21 Smith (Andrade 80)
    Substitutes
    26 Murphy, 40 Harryman, 25 Ephraim, 36 Andrade, 10 Bothroyd, 22 Helguson, 30 Hewitt

So important we hit the ground running as our winnable games are all before mid-March. Am hoping for the best but have to say not I'm not entirely convinced. No point in looking back though.

Just looking at these four matches:

    21 January v Wigan (h)
    1 February v Aston Villa (a)
    4 February v Wolves (h)
    11 February v Blackburn (a)

Do you think we will get more points at home or away?

I just demand a home win on the 21st v Wigan. It's my 51st birthday (that looks awful written down) and the R's owe me a good one.
Ignoring Newcastle, 7 points from the next 4 games, with at least one home win should keep us above the drop zone, especially if Blackburn sell their best players and Bolton lose Cahill.

    Away <ok>

Villa are poor. You should be able to beat them if you can negate Albrighton and Agbonlahor

As for Blackburn, I can't remember the last time they won at home (Swansea maybe?). Their better results this season have come on the road.

Personally I think Wolves and Wigan (although poor on the road) are tougher to beat. But we have played all 4 of these teams and performed poorly so who knows

10-12 points would be nice but i have to settle for 9 points. All the rest matches will be thrillers now ,and we need 1.4 points per match ......! That is large amount points consider we have to play against arsenal ,chelsea ,liverpool ,man c ,man u and spurs.

Were about halfway through the season so no ones schedule is harder than someone elses.

However our finishing games are very, very tough and we have to be 6-7 points clear by the last 4 games, in 10 games time we have to be mid table as we are playing the 6 pointers in the coming few weeks and those are the games weve done awful in, 1 win in 8 against the bottom sides.

Really can't see our midfield of mackie, swp, Derry and buz imposing themselves on Newcastle.

Maybe Hughes will have that quality that Napoleon wanted in his generals, and we'll fluke a result!

It can happen, about time we got the new manager syndrome working for us.

I can see PVM, Buz and Derry in central midfield and Mackie on the bench.
