Khan has a valid point in my opinion. He lost a close decision on points, fair enuff, but the footage of matey interferring with the judges definately needs looking into. Even if the guy was affiliated with the IBF/WBA he had no business conferring with the judges surely ? I realise the sport is managed to the nth degree these days and Khan's people want to protect their investment, but I think he does deserve a rematch at least.
It doesn't really matter any more if it is dodgy or not I suppose. It looks dodgy and that is more important. Peterson can earn a decent purse here, he said he'd offer a rematch. Khan needs one. Only the IBF said they'd not order one.....that decision looks dodgy now too.
That's hilarious - fair play!. I had it pretty much even and it could have gone eother way. He certainly was not robbed in my view. I actually quite like him but think he needs to let this go and then focus on winning any rematch.
Apparently Lamont has said no to a rematch in the last week or so and that is when these allegations started to fly around about this mysterious man. According to Golden Boy, WBA have announced today that a rematch must take place.
I saw that, the WBA are putting pressure on the IBF to force the match. This is a money fight for Peterson, I don't see why he wouldn't take it. If he is looking for a couple of defences and then take Khan on, Khan could tell him to go **** himself by that stage.
He said straight away after the fight he had no issue giving him a rematch. I think it has to happen.
Khan was screwed by the ref, fair enough with his point deductions, but Peterson also was warned almost every round to keep his head up, so he should of had points deducted as well. Either way, this looks very fishy and WBA have asked for a rematch ASAP.
