Henry's beard makes him look disturbingly similar to Anelka.

Then again, it's likely that neither will be playing for London clubs come the fifth round of the FA Cup...

He has tweeted that he is flattered that so many goons are asking him to play for them again. Really goons, can you not see how far you have fallen? There are four places for legends:

    1.dodgy 5 a side tournaments.
    2. Testimonials,
    3. Getting a last payday somewhere they don't have to run much
    4. (and mostly) In the fans memory.

If one of your legends is doing anything other than coaching or managing your team, at best, you are looking backwards instead of forwards. Do you really think the fact that wenger and the club hasn't been able to replace somebody they lost four years ago is a cause for celebration?

So Henri is back and he may add a few goals to your tally against lesser opposition, but this is not the return of the Messiah. Maybe four years ago before he was surplus to requirements at Barca, but now it is just a reminder of your continued decline. I think it's sad, don't ask me why. Probably because I was looking forward to both our sides battling on equal terms to get in amongst the mancs. Not now. Wenger is officially out of ideas.

Dont be ridiculous this is clearly a short term solution to cover ANC. I think he will make a very useful contribution in that time, on and off the pitch.

The supposedly unnecessary celebration was prompted by your fans singing the same "disgusting racist song" that you're criticising Spurs fans for.
The media completely ignored the bananas thrown at him at the end of his slide too, for some reason.

Thats BS, they didnt sing that song they sung the weve got Arshavin F**k Adebayor version, and no banana's were thrown, that was totally made up by City fans now repeated by you lot. Objects were thrown at him but not banana's, thats why that BS wasnt reported.

    You're utterly wrong.
    Sorry.

I know Arsenal fans that attended the game and they admit that it was sung, as did a number of your fan sites.
You can actually see the bananas, so I'm not sure why you're denying it.
Amusing to see how the one that landed right by him was clipped out of so many pictures, though.

We aren't the ones having a carnival and coming over all dewy-eyed because he scored against a third rate Leeds side (who incidentally haven't won in seven games and were only 50% responsible for a truly dreadful game.)

What's "ridiculous" is the fact that you actually need him in the first place...

I think people threw whatever they had to hand.

If I had been there, there would be every chance that I'd have been eating a Banana too. It was a massively inflammatory gesture, I don't think any fan would deny that. I would have chucked my banana at him too.

I think that we had this discussion on old606, Piskie.
Personally, I hope that I'd have the good sense to realise what throwing a banana at a black player would imply and stop myself.

I think we did mate. I still have to say, had I been there, I would have chucked whatever I could have got my hands on.
Would I have stopped to check the obvious connotation ?
In the moment, I honestly think probably not.

People were throwing whatever they had to hand, water bottles, drinks cartons, anything they might have had on them. I don't think it's necessarily a deliberate racist gesture. It certainly wouldn't have been if I'd have thrown one.

Let's not forget that this was in the same game that witnessed Adebayor willing stamp on the head of a former team mate. He was charged up and out of control. His celebration illustrated that perfectly. Arsenal fans simply matched it with their outrage - I don't think it had racist overtones.

If Adebayor isn't ours, than Henry certainly isn't yours.
Gallas is definitely ours though and he's not Squillaci.

He isn't despised by an entire nation though, on the other hand.
