I am asking this because someone on the SMB rekons we could bring in as many as 7players!!! Looking at the squad now we have a good group of players but you can always improve IMO RB/Onuoha CB/Mensah LB ? RM/Elmohamady CM/Muntari LM ? CF ? CF/Welbeck

Going back to the OP lol I reckon 7 including the loan players: Onuoha Mensah Elmo Muntari Welbeck (possibly another loan) LW - Downing, N'Zogbia, Johnson etc CF?? I think a left winger would push richardson down the pecking order meaning he could be used as a left back should the mighty mcbardsley get injured! And as for strikers....being controversial perhaps....do we really need one? Say we bring in Welbeck (loan or permanent). We will have Gyan as the main man. Then we must remember Fraizer. Looked class before he got himself crocked. He'll be like a new signing! If we play with a lone striker in Gyan with Sessegnon, Welbeck and Henderson behind him I reckon we could get by without another striker. However knowing our luck we'll get some injuries in which case another striker is probably neccesary. I just don't think we need to spend mega-bucks on a striker like people have suggested. Again I might get shot down but Carlton Cole on his day looks unplayable although I get the feeling that's 1 game in every 10 or better known as 'The Kenwyne Ratio'..........
Ned, Mensah, Muntari, Welbeck and Elmo are on loans. Mensah and Elmo loan deals have a opt to purchase clause in them. I'd take Elmo now, and Mensah - only if this was a cheap/pay for play deal due to injuries. Ned? yes imo but no more than ã6m tops due to his versatility at the back. Muntari? Haven't seen enough live to make a judgement. Welbeck? Yes, but not for more than ã8m and not involving a swap with Jordan. SB needs to "round out" the squad for me, so... A BIG man up front to provide options in style of play....... A creative CM who scores a few....... Finally, a LB as Bardo has been outstanding but an injury and arghhhh !!!!!
Nedum in RB if possible will cost a bit though. Welbeck will be back at Man Utd next season I think so we'll need 2 CFs. Mensah not sure if it was up to me get rid and bring in a top quality CB who will play regularly would prefer 2 CBs though. A LB definitely although McBardo is having a great season there not sure he'll do the same next. LW and a good CM so that would make about 7 players for me as well. Can't see us bringing in 7 players as the bank will probably put a block on but I reckon we should get 4 no problem. My pick would be CB, LB, LW, CF.
for me out of the loan players i think we should only buy elmo, cos hes cheap and i reckon will be an asset, and wellbeck if its only on loan thats better than nothing but permanant even better. thats it for me. im going to disagree with nearly everyone ned id say no, someone more like hutton muntari just doesnt do it for me, i dont see the quality, someone like scott parker is needed, mensah, no, but maybe in an ambassadors role, but playing i dont think hes realiable enough, but is great for the club, these are only my opinions if the club is to move forward, this season has been great so far, but to keep moving forward i honestly believe we could attract better players now, and that is a great thing for the club and its growing reputation
