http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11734/7421327/Sharp-to-be-offered-new-deal Interesting. Maybe Leicester won't get their man afterall.
I do hope this works out for Donny, in saying that Lesterstan don't really appear to need strikers, they have a much more pressing need for attacking midfielders and wingers - remember when we suffered a similar problem? - that can create chances for the strikers they currently have. Personally I think that they're going for Sharp just because they can, without Lesterstan improving in other areas of the pitch I doubt that Sharp would prove to be a success there anyway. Lesterstan and their purported millions of Baht are just becoming a pain in the arse and, if they carry on, they will undoubtedly become the most hated club in the Football League, as well as having the most despicable fans, and no I haven't forgotten about Leeds
OH WHAT A SHAME. PEARSON OUT PEARSON OUT. First Stewart and Now Sharp. He dont know what he is doing. How embarrassing for the man. Love it Just Love it. Its(the story) also in many of the papers and football websites. Doncasters John Ryan and Dick Watson have come up with more money to try and keep him at Doncaster Rovers. Go on Billy stay where you are until the summer at least. Drop another kipper down Pearsons pants.
I suspect that the best deal that donny can offer will not be enough to keep him. I thought their owners were supposed to be loaded btw?
I think they're only likely to offer about half what Leicester are offering him and this might well just be playing to their own fans, but you never know, he never seemed all that keen to leave and it might just be enough to get him to stay until the end of the season.
I think it'll rattle on throughout this transfer window. Maybe it's just Ryan trying to get a better deal and reassure their fans that they'll keep him at the club. If he leaves it's a good chance they'll get relegated without his goals. Very interesting though.
interesting that Nigel Pearson saw Neil Danns as a solution to our attacking midfield problems when he was here. Where is Danns now?
Will anyone want to sign for Pearson and Lesta this window ? Looks like its a 3 way fight for Maynard with Wolvers - Norwich and now Swansea all after him. Could Wolvers be offering Hammill to Brizzle as part of the deal now ? Swansea are said to be offering cash plus Dobbie for Maynard. Norwich could offer Aaron Wilbraham i guess ?
It would be good if it did drag on as you say and then Sharp goes to a Prem club leaving Leicester no time to find an alternative.
I'm sure they'll have a plan b up their sleeves, i mean even we did it, when we didn't get Anichebe in the premier league days and then we brought in Manucho late at night. Fat lot of good it did like. Might not be what their fans want ie doing it on the cheap. The distant rumblings could be good for the rest of the playoff/ promotion chasing pack.
won't happen but i'd love it if Dobbie came here, think he's a quality player. Admired him at blackpool and swansea.
i hope he goes to Leicester. I hope Nigel gets any target he likes who doesn't play for us. because quite frankly, as long as the bastards stay away from our players, I couldn't give a **** what they get up to. If Sharp goes to Leicester, I hope he scores a hatful. Couldn't wish for anything else for the guy.
I don't think it matters who Pearson signs up front because his tactics are so negative that they will stifle any striker. I wouldn't be surprised if Sharp's goals dry up if he goes to Leicester.
I hope that Sharp stays at Doncaster and scores a hatful and keeps Donny in the championship. As for Lesta i only wish they would crash and burn so that there deluded fans can finally understand that having money is not always a good thing.
That's not at all true. Leicester scored plenty of goals under him and Fryatt bagged plenty for us under him. Once he gets his own players at Leicester, they'll play more like we did under him. Anyone who remembers NP's last game in charge here and calls him negative is rewriting all history. We were amazing.
