    Dunno wether this is cause for celebration or not (surely lightning can't strike twice in the same place!?), but just seen on the offish that Foy has been confirmed as the ref for the Newcastle game.
    Thoughts?

    Plus, accordiing to the Ham and Fulham Chronicle it looks like Hughes's appoitment will be confirmed today;

    Hughes to be confirmed as QPR boss

    MARK Hughes will be confirmed as QPR's new manager later today.

    The Welshman held positive talks with chief executive Phil Beard yesterday, and will return to Loftus Road this morning for more discussions.

    Former Blackburn, Manchester City and Fulham boss Hughes was the club's number one target to replace Neil Warnock, who was axed on Sunday following a miserable run of form.

    And owner Tony Fernandes expects the 48-year-old to be confirmed as Warnock's successor later today.

    He tweeted: “Yes I am sure we will be announcing new QPR manager today.”

    Hughes' first game in charge will be away at Newcastle United on Sunday.

    I'm in two minds about this, however, I'm definately glad that Joey is suspended for this game.....

    We need to approach it just like the Chelski game - get in their faces, frustrate the hell out of them, and wait for that frustration to bubble over..... just need to reiterate that he's a referee that sees loads of bad challenges that are not really there (a.k.a. Kompany) and loves getting his cards out, so nothing rash, lads....

    100% agree. My worry is that after all the criticism he got from some quarters after sending off 2 Chelsea players in the game against us (unjustified though it may have been) is that he may have an inclination to "balance things up" by sending off one of our players. I hope not though, as I do think he spot on for both red cards (... not too sure about the one against Kompany for City the other day though).
    Good point about our Joey. <ok>

    He was right in the card for Kompany, because IF Nani hadn't moved out of the way, it could have caused serious injury. He was also right for the two in our game against Chelsea....HOWEVER, Im disappointed Cashley's kick out at Barton at the end of the game was missed as that little **^&%$^*&(& deserved a second yellow
