Why would Westley leave now to go to a League One team of all places? I don't buy the "money" argument, he could easily get a job in the Championship off the back of what he has already achieved. Unless Stevenage's form falls off the edge of a cliff he's got six months to angle for a better move, if that way inclined.

NNW - money will certainly play a part in his decision, but there may also be the prestige factor. He just may be the type to prefer the challenge of resurrecting a 'sleeping giant' of a club to it's former glories. Weigh that against how far he can realistically expect to take Stevenage and he may be tempted.

On the other hand, he may be the GT type who wants to see the job that he started finished, and elect to stay.

I'm not saying I wouldn't walk away in Westley's position, I just question the timing. He has nothing to lose by finishing the season at Stevenage, but plenty to gain if he can lead them to a playoff position or more.

You would have to say that the statement of the Stevenage chairman that the approach was unwelcome but it was up to Westley, you feel that he's reasonably confident that Westley will stay.

It's a dry start to this morning in Jersey, which I like on my birthday. Now to get ready for work and to the busy day I know is facing me. Hope you all have a good day (NZ - hope you've had a good day).

Happy birthday Barry!! I hope it's a good one. It's Kiri's 18th today and she is spending the day at college and getting her tattoo tomorrow. :emoticon-0107-sweat :emoticon-0106-cryin

As for me I am sat in uni doing some last minute cramming for my exam this morning. So have been up since 6:45 and out since 7:30! I feel sorry for the people who have to do 2/3 hours traveling to get in! They must not be 100%!!

Morning All, Grey and misty here, but very mild.

Happy Birthday Barry, enjoy the day. <ok>

I will spend part of the day writing an abusive letter in French to my ISP. My mobile telephone company sent me a text asking if I knew how much usage I was getting through. International calls are not cheap. <grr>

Morning all, good luck with the letter Frenchie. Takes me ages to construct reply letters to customers about their complaints and that's in my own language.

Happy birthday Barry, hope it's a good one.<ok>

Dan - isn't it a bit early for Kiri to be getting an 'I love Dan' tattoo? :emoticon-0105-wink:

Good luck with the letter M Frenchie....not an enviable task...

Dan, what tattoo is she getting? Same as mine? ;)...

    <laugh> funny Sandy!

Right, today's task (aside from work obviously!) is to write my speech for the ladies night...so far i've written the first line, and now i'm stuck. Oh gawd, i really do hate these events and have no idea what i'm supposed to say! Mr H isn't going to be very happy with me if i turn up with no speech written, so i need to think...quickly! lol

If she was i would be less paniced! I am seriously worried that she will go over board and get the 4 she is thinking of (in different places) and will end up looking like a tramp who is more ink than person. :emoticon-0108-speec:emoticon-0145-shake

Unfortunately not H. She has her heart set on getting paw prints on her wrist tomorrow, then after that (she does not thing the pain will be too bad, i am hoping it is! is that bad?)she wants this on her arm.

    gorgeous-wolf-head-howling-at-the-full-moon-printed-on-white-t-shirt-a-e-tattoodonkey_com.jpg

Obviously not as big as the full size, but probably a little bigger than the preview. Then she is thinking of getting a mouse on the ankle and then something on her soulder.

Dan, she has to realise that a tattoo is not a fashion item and they will be there forever, a young girl you say 18<yikes> should not be getting a tattoo that is going to be on show! You/she has to realise that for the rest of her life it will be there, the first one for a kid (sorry very young girl) should be hidden for behind closed doors or at least easily covered by a blouse or on show whilst in a bikini! She will regret having a tattoo on her wrist <yikes> I speak from lots of experience tattoo wise, as they say a tattoo is for life not for a fashion accessory that can be handed on or given to charity!

I have mentioned this to her but she is adament and is going to see the artist as we speak to finalise everything. She has now said that the wolf won't be on her arm it will be on her shoulder and in black and white not colour anyway. She has been through the whole thought process about whether or not, but she has suddenly gone from wanting the paw prints to wanting 3 done over the space of possibly 4 months.

I could do with taxi or mug on my forehead! But I like your idea.

Yeah, I am majorly worried about it. But also about he fact she has changed drastically.
