That's quite a stat val There was also an interesting stat regarding the teams AJ has scored against while he's been with us. I seem to remember none of the top six made an appearance. Compared to Dempsey who consistently scores against the big teams as well as the lesser.
Nobody disagrees with that. The problem is his goal scoring record. We signed him to score goals and he doesn't do it.

I agree with you about AJs scoring record, and this season I've come round to the view that his finishing isn't good enough at this level any more (it was in his Palace days, and his early days at Everton), but he isn't a bad player. Like Zamora in his first season with us, in everything other than goalscoring he plays very well and does a good job for us. But we need someone to do the part of the job that he is falling short on. And, referring to a previous post of yours in this thread, much as I would love to have seen Ronnie Rooke, I'm not that old! My Dad saw him though, when he was manager (player manager, I think) at Crystal Palace. That's Ronnie Rooke who was the manager, by the way, not my Dad.
