So do I but I wonder about his attitude, maybe CP is not sure of that also. Cort will be good cover.

his attitude was always good for the U18's? He would walk through walls for the team <ok> he often held the U18 defence together by his sheer physical presence.

Agree with most of the sentiments. I'd like to see Mambo more, but relying on him as 3rd choice would be very worrying, and Cort has looked strong. We need 3 first-choice CB's fighting it over and I think he gives us that. Don't get me started on Doc...

I just worry about him a little, some of the things he writes on twitter can be a bit dis-tasteful and when I see him I get a sense of arrogance. But then again at a pre-season game he asked to take my laptop to show the boys the Jenkinson own goal, he seemed pleasant enough and I got my laptop back lol

I've not seen him play for the U18's so maybe I'm being unfair? There is just something.....

As Cort is on loan for the season, there's hardly any rush is there? If we go up, there's plenty of time in the summer to sort out CBs!

Good to have him as a fully fledged player though. Got another season out of him

Can't say he fills me with confidence, against Brentford I think we missed Taylor next to Morrow

Guess its the end of doc and CP wants 4 defenders on the books?

Or maybe Osborne isn't as close as the media thinks. If our budget can handle both, then great. Not a bad problem to have two of Morro, Taylor, cort and Osborne in reserve.

Which means the end of the road at Charlton for Mambo.

Apparently Cort has been recalled by Burnley, and been released on a free

Meaning we can now snap him up on a free.

SLP journalist said on twitter earlier that Cort will be signing for us on an 18 month deal in the next couple of days.

We'd better sign him, or we might have the Doc on the bench on Saturday:shocked:

This is quite odd, if the reasoning behind it was so that he could sign for us, then why didn't we buy him for a fee of £0 rather than them terminating his contract and making him a free agent? Perhaps he is considering going elsewhere?

Could well be that Leon has had an offer from higher up the ladder than us and that the season long loan deal with us prevented this from happening?

If that's the case, then we'll need to buy or loan another CB asap. Alternatively, if we do sign him permanently, we'll need to find money for the signing on fee etc
