A fairly good score line...

No fan ever wants to lose but 1-0 is not a bad score for us.

We didn't get thrashed, no one was to below par (though no one was far above it) And we can now concentrate on the league... Fairly satisfied.

Most satisfying thing for me was their keeper time-wasting, plus Henri & Arshatin hacking at young White. Without realising it, they gave us big respect.

I did notice Henry's hack at White. I wouldn't have wanted it to happen, but didn't Rooney get sent of against Montenegro for exactly the same sort of thing?

It was an attempted trip, not a swipe out of aggresion. Clever play to stop a counter, nothing dangerous. Rooney is an over-rated animal who should not be taken to the Euros.

Henry should really have walked for that

If he goes for that then no match would be completed.

I'd like to pick up on that word 'attempted'. It's still a foul whether there is contact or not, and many misunderstood reds & yellows have been issued without any contact being made. Then again, it doesn't seem to happen very much these days - especially if you're a returning 'hero'.

Whether you agree or not, that's what the rule book says. Ask Mr Kompany about that. He got one without touching Nancy Boy.
