    Same, although Pardew has said he's improving and that it will be a late call again. We'll see, Ireland may well end up starting as far as we know.

    Ireland's touch and go too, he picked up a slight strain on Thursday according to Pardew so could still feature today.

    Touch and go means out really. None of our players ever pass late fitness tests. Carroll was "touch and go" for about six weeks before we sold him.

    We'll see come 3pm, I'd like to see Ireland feature though. It sounds like Pardew is impressed with what he's seen in training from him.
