Sorry to bring up an old subject - but me and AH over Christmas were discussing the possibility of once again trying to arrange a Not606 shirt sponsorship of a CAFC player (Taylor still available for one!). The difference this time is, instead of asking for a straight donation (which you can do), we have discussed the possibility of arranging an auction where we will be putting up CAFC signed memorabilia. All proceeds from the auction would go towards securing the sponsorship - and no % will go to us. Also, should you like to get involved yourselves, then you could put something forward and in discretion let us know if you would be wiling to put up 50% of the proceeds etc. The rules would be similar to mentioned in the summer - all contributors would be put in to a draw with several prizes (signed shirt of the sponsored player, CAFC awards diner etc) up for grabs. AH and myself wouldn't enter so there can't be any arguments of being biased. We can provide a provisional list if you wish to see whats available. You may then decide whether it's worth it or now. Of course, if most are totally against the idea then it's no problem. And apologies if anyone feels put out by another thread discussing monies and sponsorship. Let us know your thoughts one way or the other, please!
What a brilliant idea (Chrissy, sometimes, you do have a good idea !) . Count me in - absolutely . Maybe we could have a special one made with our names and pictures put (discreetly) into the shirt somewhere a la Alaves v Liverpool some years ago in the UEFA Cup Final - now that would be cool ! If Taylor is available, then lets go for that one !!

It isn't cheap - thats why we thought of possibly auctioning off signed memorabilia. There are various signed items from down the years, whether it's individual shirts or signed team items such as balls and pennants. I'm also having a good rummage down the 100's of programs I have, as there are a few which contain signatures of players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Bergkamp and other premiership legends.
if 5 people on here put in a tenner, put that on us to beat wednesday and then our winnings on us to beat united and so forth. Sorted.
Hi guys, I am already sponsoring someone...check your prog. or the web-site you'll soon work it out...... a lot of money for someone who hasn't turned up yet! Anyway, I will happily join in with you if it helps us reach the required total.....talking of which....the main reason for my posting this is to let you know that I started a sponsorship this time last year and only paid half the full season rate.....I'm pretty sure I can get that organized again if you would like......I could also have them 'save' Taylor for us...if you see what I mean.....not an act of redemption you understand....just putting his sponsorship aside for us..........as long as we are confident of raising the cash. What do you think?
Thanks for that info Bahrain - it's very much appreciated Well Stu, this is the million pound question. It certainly makes our goal a lot easier! I just want to remind everyone that me and AH actually aren't getting anything out of this, it's purely a way of trying to raise more money for the club, raise the profile of our Not606 page and also represents a great opportunity for some to go to the end of season diners.. which are a bloomin' good night, the players are always very good value and friendly. You'll also hear some blinding stories from the training ground no doubt! I think the next step would be for people to private message myself or AH with a definite interest. Also, if any fans would like something specific (memorabilia wise) it's very possible we may have what your looking for, or to maybe acquire it. So just ask! I'll give people till Saturday morning to state an interest and at the point AH and myself can see if it's possible.
I was going to put up £50 and exclude myself from any lottery but Mary has his house purchase so he may be putting in a little less? If the deals are halfish price for half a season then we could possibly agree ALL of Taylor's shirts for say £500 to £600 if we agree on fewer freebies?
