I've not posted in quite a while but read pretty much all the posts.... I can honestly say that I have a quiet expectation now going into saturday's game. Not that we are going to win...but that we are going to put in a performance that will make us supporters feel proud. Living in Swansea (and considering my line of work) the start of the season made me an easy target for the newly promoted fans. "Its a long season" was my reply again and again. Unfortunately it looked like ours was to be the long one under Bruce...but MON has pumped blood back round to places we never thought we'd need....Catts is looking quality...young McL is a revelation...a left sided player at Sunderland?! Whatever next?! Well.....a class striker hopefully.... Not really a post to promt debate....just wanted to say.... I really feel like welling up! FTM.
The Chelsea game is one where we shouldn't realistically expect anything but a defeat....So why is it that I'm feeling far to bloody optimistic about this game???
I feel the same way lads...no doubt we will get a good sorting out, but for some odd reason I don't fear going to Stamford Bridge at all
Anything less than a 3-0 reverse and a stunning finish from a centre half and we are going backwards.
Hello Swansea Mackem.......A bit further south than you in Somerset...just to say I could have written every word in your bit...had a good laugh at the end...Great!!!
I've actually got a sneaky feeling you'll get at least a point out of this game. Well maybe the 'at least' part is a bit OTT but Chelsea have been **** this season and the fact that Aston Villa , a team who couldn't buy a goal for weeks and weeks , went there and scored 3 must give your lot some confidence.
There's no reason why we can't get something. We are a team in ascendancy. We can score from all areas of the pitch. Our defence is quite good. Chelsea are stuttering. I reckon a few people will have us on their coupons these weekend. Goot times!!! COME ON SUNDERLAND!!!
3 - 0 win agains Man Utd? Stop living in the past, man. You've played again since then. Nobody on here is banging on about our previous games. We're all about the next one. You need to contemporise!
con·tem·po·rize   /kənˈtɛmpəˌraɪz/ Show Spelled [kuhn-tem-puh-rahyz] Show IPA verb, -rized, -riz·ing. verb (used with object) 1. to place in or regard as belonging to the same age or time. 2. to give a modern or contemporary character or setting to; update: The new production of Romeo and Juliet contemporizes it as the love of two modern teenagers in a Chicago high school. verb (used without object) 3. to be contemporary. As in not banging on about the past.
What don't you understand? Stop living in the past? Happened last week and it was our last league game. If you're so adamant to talk about our last game it was at home to a Blackburn side who we completely dominated and finished off by scoring two wonderful goals. What's up with you? I come on here telling you you've got a chance at Chelsea and make a little joke and I get bombarded
