Who the hell are those guys? And how on earth have you got David Villa for City in their third season..
he was on a bosman for some odd reason. he's getting paid a hell of a ot mind. ter stegan's from juve and kagawa was a bosman from dortmund. strootmans from ajax i think
Still.. In my third season I could only offer about £60k a week to a 'Key Player' and if I tried going for someone like Villa or Robben on a bosman they'd certainly not choose Hull over Man City, Chelsea or Madrid
haha. you can build up a bit of money for searching through for clubs who have set low asking prices. You can get a good couple of free transfers in the summer and then selling them in january. Since i got promoted and then finished 8th Mr allem loves me and accepts most proposals i ask for. We're buying the KC soon so i have no money left :'(
just loaded it up and turns out i'm in my 4th season. So i suppose i had another year in the prem under my belt
You LIAR! I suppose I'll let you off then. Although I can't see us getting Villa in 3 years time in real life, unfortunately I'm in my second season, lost in the playoff semi final first time around, signed Danny Haynes, absolutely storming it this year, 9 points clear at the top of the league with Haynes on 25 goals in 27 games
two of my best signings were liam lawrence and marlon harewood. Had to get rid of lawrence though, as he had a highest earner clause and wasn't really worth 80k a week
Quite depressing comparing this to mine (start of 3rd season, 1st year in PL) Foster Rosenior-Chester-C.Dawson-Warnock Moses-Livermore-Cairney-Stewart Haynes-Le Tallec Bench: Lewis, Hobbs, Spearing, Koren, Watt, Simpson, Macheda. Extra first team players: Camp, Naughton, Dudgeon, Corry Evans, Garcia, Ched Evans. Ended up with three quality keepers, impossible to choose who to play! And by the way Jezz and anyone else for that matter, Haynes finished the season with 38 goals.. £625k.. sign him up!
I don't know how long you've been playing the game so forgive me if I point out obvious things. On tactics, put the workload on 'very high' and 'attacking movement' until the bars are filled up, then drop the workload to 'average'. For City at least, stick with the simple 'Balanced, Standard' Philosophy/Strategy. I always play an advanced 4-4-2 as City, although the game calls it 4-2-4. It's just a standard 4-4-2 with the wingers pushed up one position. Use assistant reports to find out the correct roles for your players - especially Cairney (Advanced Playmaker, Attack) who has been massively overrated and gets thousands of assists. All of these work for me but not necessarily for everyone, but if you're really struggling it must be worth a try. Again, apologies for stating anything you might find obvious but it's hard to offer advice when I can't actually see what it is that you do.
The game is so ****ed for the start of the season - about to kick off my first game in the Premier League and I only have 1 player out injured but a further 8 unavailable because they are 'Travelling' Also, after promotion, why the **** does my entire squad have terrible morale?
if you get promoted in your first season (mine was by luck tbh) it is very easy as all the free agents from that season are pretty good. And you can always adjust your budget to be able to offer them higher salaries. And look for players that have a low asking price. I was offered michael carrick for 1.2million earlier. Also, look for the good youth players in order to stay in the prem once you get there.
