Think its best if he went on loan, probably not going to get much game time this season. But please have a recall clause, if Jonas gets injured we are ****ed down the left hand side.

 

I'd say if he doesn't even make the bench against Blackburn then he should definitely go out on loan.

"West Ham have turned down a THIRD bid from Newcastle for highly-rated defender James Tomkins and insist he has not put in a formal transfer request.

Tomkins has been strongly linked with a move to the north east club and Alan Pardew is hoping to beat Tottenham to the race for his signature.

Newcastle have already seen two bids turned down but have now come back with a £4m offer for the former England Under-21 defender.

But West Ham are refusing to cash in on their star defender and believe he has a major role to play for them as they look to gain promotion straight back into the top-flight.

Reports had suggested that Tomkins had put in a transfer request, but the east London club have been quick to play down those rumours and insists he is staying at the club.
