    MITO look around... *i dunno*

perhaps a link to the source would help (he says hoping to actually help) especially if the breakdown of other clubs is given too and especially if it shows that shcok other clubs have dealt with similar issues all year long and in fact dalglish and tee shirts are not needed to cause mindless individuals to act mindlessly.

I would only conclude from that breakdown that either the queues to the concession stands are too short or you guys get them in early.. or the stats include things that occur around the ground as well as in it?

oh and for ruff... I am merely point out to the guy who claimed maths would prove him right he was wrong seeing as he started the thing by talking about people disgracing their club..

You never know, he may make a miraculous recovery. I reckon there'll be an Owen hattrick with assists from Giggs, Scholes and Evra. Anfield would love it <ok>

It does seem a bit odd that we top the league by a fair way for practically every offence apart from violent disorder (Villa), missile throwing (Liverpool), racist chanting (Villa and Bolton), and breach of banning order (Newcastle). I do wonder if the high number of arrests for alcohol, public disorder and offensive weapons are due to the standing - if people get thrown out of the ground they automatically get checked by the police, which implies being breathalysed and searched. Whereas a fan who stays in their seat all game could be drunk as **** and carrying a hidden knife but might get away with it.

So what your trying to say is united fans are ******ed as well as scum, good point!!
Also interesting to note that 159 of the arrests were at away grounds negating your "our stadiums bigger than yours" argument.
The facts show that United has the worst behaved fans in the country by a long way! much worse tha LFC! or will your next argument be that all the police forces around the country are out to get manc's.

ok is this the report? http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/public...rrests-banning-orders/fbo-2010-11?view=Binary

the breakdown by club also gives breakdown by home and away and i think utd have 159 arrests away from home which could actually link with ruffs point. away gorund for utd fans standing could well see more guys getting chucked out. Liverpools stats away are similar at home only 15 away is 51. unfortunatley you don't get a breakdwon of arrests in each category, only the totals.

you have to wonder about how some guys get into away ends sometimes as 20 pitch invasions but utd fans would seem silly away from home. do guys just want to get on tv?

I think if you look at the european football stats and this together one could conclude if one had a mind to that where the club is in control of things more then better behaviour is observed.

Perhaps we need to see better control of away day ticketing in future? or are guys just drinking too much on the buses?

timmy, that's going a bit far isn't it? only those who prove themselves are what you call all of them and we all know that's a slippery slope. lets not stereotype lads.

Its an interesting report to go through actually. topically the tables can't prove anything due to differences in crowd sizes between leagues but most arrests for racial abuse occurred in the prem. i'n not sure any inferrance about who got arrested for racial stuff can be inferred as most clubs have a mark down against them but a few clubs seem to have zeros. next year this report will read differently.

    Yes, I see that.

I'm just also saying that the breakdown i see in the one i found can't tell me if all of utd's issues for example away from home were "disorder" or as another example if say all bolton's racial issues (4) occurred home or away or even in one game.

All I can say is both clubs seem to have an issue with away day fixtures, other clubs seem more evenly distributed home and away...

I see the black cats are actually wosre in terms of arrests than arsenal but that doesn't tell me much again they are half for alcohol too.

for me its just a point that nobodies got a moral high ground to preach from.

    That's the one <ok>

Either that or our away fans include a bunch of hardcore nutters who are determined to get arrested at every game. Would be interesting to see how many of those arrests are individual ones, or just a few twats determined to get a D&D at every away match. Would also be interesting to see how the offences break down home / away - is all our violent disorder at away matches, are 90% of the home arrests just D&D etc?

The pitch invasion thing seems to be linked to the size. Five largest grounds in the country? OT, the Emirates, SJP, Stadium of Light, United Stadium. Five highest pitch invasions? Utd, Arsenal, Newcastle, Sunderland, City. Likewise with the touts - the four worst clubs for touts are Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool. Also the four clubs most likely to sell the ground out and thus create the touting demand. No mug's gonna tout tickets for City matches when they go on general sale every game and there's a thousand empty seats at an FA Cup third round derby!!

I also wonder how many of the arrests are the Green and Gold mob? Wouldn't be surprised if the property damage arrests were some of those nutters daubing "Glazer out" on everything they can see, and the offensive weapons were smoke bombs...

who knows... I'd need to look up the previous year to see a trend or something and i'm not really worried enough by utd to do so.

    That's nowhere near the worst.

Did you see the report of Birmingham v Wolves?

    Attendance: 14,594

    That is NOT a typo.

i was watching that early game and the crowd at that brum match was a complete joke.

    i mean wow..

i didn't see too many shots of the eastlands gorund so can't comment there about a full house but in the end i'd not be shocked given out lifeless it was at out 0-3 loss there... hopefully next Wednesday it'll be fairly empty.

The Etihad capacity is 47,800 and the crowd was 46,800. In contrast OT has a capacity of 75,800 and the crowd for the league match was 75,500. So it was pretty close to selling out, but there would still have been enough tickets for genuine fans to get their hands on to make it not worthwhile for touts.

St Andrews still has a 30,000 capacity.

    Awful isn't it.

This will be a great game! Looking forward to it. Think we can cause some real problems.
