Yes, you heard, bloody O'Neill and his winning ways, well what about us poor fans, does anyone think of us.

Not long ago I could be sitting now, bit of a moan about the cup game then eventually this week I would think about Chelsea, I knew what I was doing and why, not now.

I have to find money for a cup game, now come on, when was the last time a Sunderland fan budgeted for a cup game, a stress free weekend off is what I alwaays planned for, not this cup run malarky.

Then we have the weekend, listen to the first 70 minutes on the radio then turn off, 3 or 4 down, I expected nothing and hoped for nothing.

Now, I know they are a good team and I know I should not and honestly I'm trying not to but, I expect a win, cant help myself.

Whats worse is I dare not turn off, 2-0 down in the 89th minute and I expect 3 goals in injury time.

Am I deluded, maybe so but its all that bloody O'Neills fault. <doh><wah>

Its a strange feeling isn't it Syd. This is not the way Sunderland do things.
I am at the Chelsea game and cant wait.

Yes it sure is good and the scary thing is we dont even have our good players in, will Brown get his place back, who do we pick out of Vaughan and Gardner, Wickham and Campbell to come in and thats before we buy anyone.

    O'Neill OUT!!!

I have discovered a new feeling this week - Not only have we won 2 in a row but we have now won 3 (yes THREE in a row!!! I can honestly say I can't remember how that feels!!

Anyonw in their right mind would be happy with a draw this week - but why shouldn't we look for a bit more - Their high defensive line will suit MoN's counter attacking tactics... Bit of pace and get among them and there's no reason why we can't win it... COME ON!!!

You're no more deluded than you were pre-O'Neill. You thought we'd win every bloody game then, too!

I think Gardener and McClean are our best wingers, and Catts and Vaughan the best CM pairing we have. Nice to have some decent options, with Meyler back in, Rico better in midfield than defence, and even Elmo looking ok yesterday too.

The Sunderland fan in me expects something to go wrong soon?!?

My experience from being a Sunderland fan and suffering misery and in-consistency is vast. I haven't got a clue how to deal with this boring run of 1 defeat in 7 games, we have little to talk about now!

Bring back Bruce, he knew the Sunderland way!

One obsevation I have noted is that there seems to be a distinct lack of panic among fans on here regarding this transfer window...

To think were missing almost all our CB's and strikers and yet I still expect us to win.

To be fair I don't know what our best team is now.

We can almost put out 2 x decent first 11's: (ok I struggled at LB because we need to buy one)

    Westwood
    Bardo OShea Killgallon Colback
    Larson Catts Vaughan
    Sess McClean
    Wickham

    Migg
    Brown Bramble Turner Elmo
    Gardener Meyler Colback
    Campbell Richardson
    Bendtner

Well I am completely confused, it looked as if we were playing 4-3-3, that is 6 midfielders no strikers and unlike at Brighton we won..I will go to the bottom of our stairs!!

I still would like to think we are going to get a striker in during the next few weeks. With Bendy injured, MoN obviously reckoned that, Ji, Wickham and Noble were not worth a start as even Sess, who is a creative midfielder/winger was a better bet. Sess must do amazing thing in training cos both SB and MoN reckon him as a striker but somehow it does not working in an actual EPL game. Steed was a bit like that but Sess is better I guess.

I think Wickham and Bendtner can be the big men up front but we need a fox in the box asap please.

I agree with Syd I will have to cough up more money for the Cup game, I always think it is mean we season ticket holders do not get them free, as some sort of supporter bonus..have a word with the powers that be if you can Syd.
