Lifes looking rosie for you mate....I realise this clown doesnt represent the Hull fans on not606 as a whole but he is doing them no justice. A point he hasnt worked out by the fact he is the only Hull fan still posting about this on our board...bless!
Who gives a **** ? Our Nigel has tried to sign him. Your Adam has said no. Big deal, we move on. If he's happy at hull, then good luck to the lad. We need someone who wants to wear the shirt. As mentioned above, there are plenty of wide players who would/could fit into our team. NP knows Stewart, so he became target #1. We may go in with another bid, we may not. Personally, would greatly prefer Snodgrass and/or Whittingham - may cost more, but greater experience and tested at this level.
Snodgrass and Whittingham would blow the bank imo, 2 of the best wingers in this division (don't tell the Leedsfans i said that ) Plus they would prob end up the same as this Stuart situation.
Does Stewart have a minimum release fee - as per Billy Sharp - hence the low bids as they are slowly working their way towards it? Otherwise I reckon that this could just be a smokescreen to keep the media happy with cheeky bids that provoke a reaction while going after other targets relatively anonymously - lets be honest, we aren't going to get any Hull players for anything reasonable as we have found out how stubborn they are when we got Pearson and his team back.
Thats what i was thinking but if there was Pearson would know it and we have already activated it by now
Quick, quick, you need wingers don't you? http://www.hullcityafc.net/page/NewsDetail/0,,10338~2571209,00.html?
In all seriousness Pearson brought him in so obviously saw something in him so might be worth a shot - if he can pass a medical that is.
Pusic has been a bit unlucky with us, as he's been injured for most of the time and has barely played. When he did play, he looked half decent, no world beater, but reasonably handy and he scored a good goal against Liverpool(he can play as a winger, or a striker). I can't see Nigel being interested though.
Neither player is a genuine winger in the true sense - I like both but suspect that we would only be looking to sign them if we were also conemplating selling one (or two) of King, Wellens, Oakley or Gallagher ... Stewart and Kebe are closer to reuirements - genuine pace to service our misfiring forward line ..
Rumour has it we are going to make 1 more bid for Cameron Stewart and it will be take it or leave it. If thats the cast we would need to offer around 3-4M to get them remotely interested in doing business
