It is a derby, not the derby but a derby nonetheless.

Its more of a derby than many of the hundreds of London derbies. To say it isn't, is just to wum the Boro lot.

I didn't realise how far away Boro was until recently.

But I'd still consider it a derby tbh.

Er no we say its not a derby because, wait for it, we don't consider it a derby.

It is a derby ffs. It always brings in a good crowd.

I hope Boro get promoted so we can look forward to 4 derbies a season.

I don't consider the Boro derby anywhere near as big as the Sunderland one, but it's still a derby.

Its closer than the Old Farm, and that is still considered a derby at almost 50 miles apart.

A minor, proximity based derby at best, but only because there are so few Premiership/Championship teams in the North East.

It's all mental, I live in Billingham and I've no idea what county were in, and neither does anything when you put your postcode in online. It either still says Cleveland even though its not real, or Stockton, or just vaguely Teesside. Its like the island on Lost...

I say we just reinstate the great kingdom of Northumbria and do away with ceremonial counties.

I live in Guisborough and have always put Cleveland on my address.

    Unitary authority Redcar and Cleveland
    Ceremonial county North Yorkshire
    Region North East
    Country England
    Sovereign state United Kingdom
    Post town GUISBOROUGH
    Postcode district TS14
    Dialling code 01287
    Police Cleveland
    Fire Cleveland
    Ambulance North East
    EU Parliament North East England
UK Parliament Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland

For me its Cleveland (its obviously not but the police and fire are Cleveland and UK parliament are so sod it, its Cleveland lol)

When I lived in Blyth i never thought of it as a proper Derby, its still a NE Derby just not a proper one, now that I live down here, I think its more of a derby than I did, but its still not anywhere near, the Tyne/Wear one.

Does that mean I'd have to give up my long held title of The Earl of Ponteland.
