Nicholls has been doing well with those ex-Howard Johnson horses Cyc and this one looks the least exposed in the race. I guess some people expect him to have improved from his last run and so even off top-weight a rating of 120 against this lot is fairly reasonable.
Quote for Giordano Bruno - "Was a high-class bumper horse but has missed the last two seasons owing to tendon problems. At the moment â fingers crossed â heâs going well and Iâd hope to have him back on a racecourse around Christmas in a 2m novice hurdle. He may get further but heâs a keen goer and Iâd want to start him off over 2m. He has plenty of ability but will be eight in the new year, so heâs getting on, but hopefully heâll be worth waiting for" - Hobbs
RV: Fascinating! But look eastwards for the answer - the Germans got up to some strange tricks around 1940?......... please log in to view this image P.S. This is pretty apt? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-16265519
Oddy: Well done indeed yesterday. You are in top form. Stick some in the piggybank for Chelters!.............
Morning all. hope everyone had a good festive period and is suitably refreshed for 2012!! Nothing catches the eye today but ive had a dabble on Sticks one.
2.10 Master Fiddle - Nap I have watched his run back and I think he was cantering when he went. He is a big horse who I think has plenty of scope to improve on this early mark. I wouldn't be surprised to see him win this and then get prepared for a trip to the Cheltenham Festival.
Morning, all. I trust everyone saw the big sporting event of the old weekend. It had everything didn’t it drama, intrigue, suspense, terrific fightback, nail biting conclusion. But enough of Dancing On Ice: The Skate-Off and onto today’s racing action. It’s a ‘no bet’ day for me but must say that Taunton must be delighted by the turnout for a number of their heats. The 1.40 and 2.40 look terrific contests and sandwiched between them is a corking novice chase featuring my old faves Vino Griego and Mr Henderson’s Master Fiddle. Also in the line-up is Mr Nicholls most progressive Rangitoto. Couldn’t decide on a winner though so have left alone because as one wise old sage once told me – ‘if in doubt, back nowt’. Good luck to each and everyone of you today.
Hi mate, same to you! Hope you managed to get some time off over chrimbo. Indeed, hopefully shes still growing!

Gonna be a long time between races today .................. why is it we seem to be flooded with race meetings some days and today just the two?
