This is rather a pointless thread .. Reality is this - every player has a price (that price will partly be driven by how long the player has left to run on his existing contract) - once you have met that price it comes down to whether the player wants the move - a mixture of ambition and, with more emphasis in this age of greed and bling, the 'personal terms'... Our opinions as fans on the relative merits of our respective clubs etc, counts for diddly squat ... so why don't we all just sit back and see what happens by 31 January (or whenever this transfer window ends) ...
