How about this guy as our next manager, looks dodgy for him at Q.P.R. He has a great track record in our division, he has got the knack of getting teams up, and gets the best out of his players within a limited budget, also his players want to play for him. Okay at times he goes on a bit, and some purists would hate his appointment because he is not an Ipswich type manager, neither was Keane, but players have an affinity with Warnock, something which never existed with Keane. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-as-Tony-Fernandes-prepares-to-wield-axe.html

    No just NO!

I think we have had the experienced manager with a proven track record approach and it has spectacularly failed! Russel Osman should be given the job for the rest of the season <ok>

Sean O'Driscoll or Dave Jones would get my vote.

What we lack all over the club is PASSION & PRIDE for Ipswich Town. The players clearly don't have any, the manager doesn't seem able to provide it and Clegg is just completely incompetent! I think a very good shout would be the old centre back partnership of Butcher and Osman. Both of them bleed blue & white and will soon drum out anyone who isn't pulling their weight. Osman's good cop to Butcher's bad cop!

No to Osman, No to Butcher, No to Burley and any other ex Town players.

I tell ya what, i would jump at the chance of getting Warnock!!

Spanish you are just so wrong!

Big name managers with Big name reputations - yeah thats really worked hasn't it!!!

Terry Butcher would walk back on broken glass for the chance of managing Town. The job has become a poisened challice!

Your ignorance depresses me Spanish! <doh>

What the **** does Colin care about Ipswich? The guy is a complete ****er and I wouldn't have him sweeping the stands let alone be our manager! Another short term fix isnt going to solve our deeper long term problems. Butcher would sort out this shower of **** because he cares about the club, it is in his DNA and to me that is a great starting point. The enthusiasm, drive and reputation he has in the game would be enough to attract decent young players. Osman would be involved in the youth conveyor belt and between them within 3 years believe me, we would be a true force once again.

Butcher has done nothing in his managerial career, even at minor clubs he has failed to cut the mustard, you need more than enthusiasm to be a good manager, If Keane and Jewell can not do it, how on earth could Butcher. The three attributes you say Butcher has, Warnock has in abundance, plus he has come up with end results, unlike Butcher. You seemingly not liking him, should not come into it, he has a good track record, he will also give us that siege mentality which we desperately need, hopefully he would get rid of this comfy feeling at the club, unlike now where opposing players must think their arriving at a holiday camp.

So I guess managing in the Scottish Premier after getting ICT promoted doesn't count then! <doh> I suppose Burley had a brilliant track record before he was appointed Town manager!

the fact is that our last 3 managers have all lacked something that someone like warnock could give us.

magilton had never managed a club before
keane had managed sunderland but was still extremely inexperienced
jewell had experience but had but he hadn't success for a good 4/5 years

warnock has the experience but also the results to back him up. he made QPR a brilliant championship, yes with money but that can't be an excuse as we are not exactly lacking in that department. he IMO was doing a decent job at qpr and was harshly sacked. i reckon he would have kept them up and i really do think we could alot worse that appoint neil warnock

Colin wouldn't come here anyway. He will be too busy sorting out his compensation pay out from QPR. Butcher & Osman for me!
