Having posted a thread previously asking whether Martin O'Neill was 'past his best', I thought it decent to post a thread passing on my congratulations on the appointment of Martin O'Neill.
I had some doubts about him but the early signs are quite remarkable.

Another good win against an in-form Peterborough United side has impressed me further.

Martin O'Neill looks to be exactly the right man at the right time.

    The derby becomes utterly enthralling.

Done well so far, but managers in the past have made great starts at clubs then struggled. Though he has been impressive and has already made sure Sunderland will be in the league next year which I think Sunderland fans would have taken after their 2-1 loss at Wolves a few weeks ago.

Magnanimous Joker...Didn't expect to see this from you on the Sunderland board - what next, Master Simpson applauding Ben Arfa's current form?

I don't expect us to take anything from the Chelsea game but eve if we do lose the bubble will remain very much intact.

We will probably get beat off Chelsea (thought that last season with Bruce and see what happened), but then MON has already been beat off Spurs and the bubble didnt burst.

As long as we can get results from those around and below us, i think we will be fine, yes its nice and a bonus to be beating the top club in the division at the time, but we wont do that week in week out, we know that.

    Don't be a ****.

Could I just say, although all of us get wound up in the local rivalry thing, it's basically a croc of ****. I quite like Martin O'Neill. Some Sunderland players, like Larsson and Sessegnon, I would liked to have signed for Newcastle (we were linked with them too!), as I'm sure Sunderland would have some of our lot (I like to think quite a lot of our lot). It's good for the region to have at least two prem teams, plus hopefully the smoggies in the not too distant future.

There is only one huge issue I have with Sunderland. I can't ****ing stand the strip. It's not even the red and white. It just looks a bit cheap.

To be honest I wasn't overly excited by o'neills appointment but what has pleased me as much as our results is that he's had his tactics spot on in every game. I don't think its a honeymoon period, just we are organised which I think was the basis of your great start?
