Just watching SSN

Transfer round up is on, they just brung up Demba Ba, apparently linked with a lot of clubs, he has a buy out clause but it may not be the 10 million reported, and those close to Ba have said he's very happy at Newcastle, and is not looking for another club, and is only focusing on Newcastle and Senegal.

He's scored more than Carroll did, so he'd be worth more :)

Hopefully his agent won't turn his head, however if he doesn't some ****ers will offer him silly wages. If we lose him I'll be so pissed off.

saw that earlier people forget we have the most tight arsed owner in the league (apart from everton) and i doubt he'd have such a low clause in a contract more than likely like the one he had at west ham released for 10m if we go down.On the subject of the twat who spilled the beans <melty> isn't it about time something was done about him as he cried like a bitch when Modrić was touted for a move in the summer.

Pay the agent off, give Ba an 2 year extension to his current deal which is more lucrative and have done with it. If we can keep Ba and Tiote we have a real shot of top 6 this season, then next season with 2 or 3 more signings who knows...

11 goal Caroll cost £35m so £3,181,818 per goal. So Ba should cost £47,727,272 <ok>

Knowing Mike he'd like to make a pofit so expect at least £55m release clause

he didnt spill the beans Karen Brady first reported it (made it up?), and then a reporter interviewing 'Arry asked him about said rumour, and he gave an answer.

If SSN bother showing the full interview, the interviewer is the one who brings it up NOT Arry the wheeler Dealer. I've said this a few times but nobody has picked it up. Why would Arry want to bring the clause to the attention of other clubs if he himself wants the player.
Doesn't make sense, just **** stirring from the media.

How the **** would she know? Why would West Ham be privy to the details of the contract he negotiated with us?

Hasn't been linked with anyone that I've seen and on Sky Sports News, it never had any teams next to his name that were interested. Just people trying to unsettle us.

Well.... I can see your logic... however the release clause (if it exists) will have been included in his contract and set at a level that management will have thought made good business sense for someone costing whetever it was he cost you (was it a free transfer?) so if past examples are to be considered it would be more likely to be between £4-6 million.

But Ba would have to push for that clause to come into effect... Noocarsle cannot be forced to sell at that price by anyone other than Ba and I know most of you seem sure he's totally happy there I don't see you have anything to worry about.

Ba seems grateful to be just playing football right now. He often refers our style of play to a club he was previously at, which suits his style of play. Right now he's in the form of his life... as i was saying he seems like a spiritual, passionate and grateful player, do i think he'll leave in order to find, as enrique would put it 'europe' and a bigger stage for his moves? i doubt he'll leave us. maybe in the summer? who knows.
