I've seen enough of Danny Guthrie and have been told by many of mag mates that he's average. I'd say cabaye is a good premierleague player, is Guthrie as this great midfielder the next step up then?

I have the same opinion of most of your players as I did before O'neill came. Your defence has always been good. Sess is good but needs to improve his finishing. Larsson is a fantastic dead ball deliverer and crosser. You lack a quality striker.

You team formula has changed and your organisation has improved. The only player I will eat humble pie about is Cattermole. He seems to have calmed down and settled under O'neill, and is tackling better. Didn't really think after so many years of being a ****, that he had it in him.

So just because he's not as good as our first choice pair of CM's, he's not a great CM?

He is a great CM. Nothing too special, but he filled in for Tiote very well. He's good at doing defensive duties, creating things and is good in possession. He can also strike a mean shot.

That would certainly add some spice to the FA Cup. However, we're not a 2 men team and still have players more than capable of stepping up. Tiote has been a shadow of last season until late and Shola is always different class against you. It is no way as clear cut as you said.
