Just can see them as a decent team who will more than likely raise their game against premier league opposition, its just one of those games I can see us losing, I could be wrong though and hope Iam.

Then again though I'm not always the most optimistic of people, I'm not as bad as mrtiote at least though.

With City and Liverpool/Man U going out we might end up needing to get to the final to qualify for Europe, top sides going out is a little bit of a catch 22 regarding Europe.

ive said for a while that we want 2 CL clubs in Fa final and a CL winner for the league cup.

Then we target 7th in the league and get europe

We want an all top 6 final or us to be in the final, if it's anything else than that Europa League spot is gone.

We need the big boys to draw the smaller teams and knock them out.

May be some twisted logic here but I'm not really that fussed about qualifying for the Europa League. I want us to finish as high up the table as possible and/or win the FA Cup. I don't think the draw of the Europa League really helps a great deal with making top signings and I think unless we invested heavily in the summer our squad would be too thin to perform in it and keep doing well in the league. Another season of building our squad and then we'd be better placed.
 
There's definitely an argument that Europe next year would be too soon. Think we'll be better placed for the season after next.

That said, given the **** sides in the early stages of the Europa League, the likes of Vuckic, Abeid, Raylor, Best, Ferguson, Guthrie, Gosling would easily get the job done <ok>

And I'd love a Euro away trip!
 
Id rather we did well in the FA cup! As more and more top teams get knocked out the better it looks like will progress I think as we have seen in the first half of the season we have the potential to beat anyone on our day! If pompey can make it to the FA cup final and win so can we. I know 7th and europe would be great for the club and its very feesable, but the FA cup would be a major acheivment.
