Being serious, what price would you rate him at? Take in factors such as the fact he's only played 5 games at a good enough standard to warrant a big price tag and the fact he's just had a big injury and the fact that he only cost 300k and there is a release clause in there and the fact that you seem to be replacing him with Hammill.
Be careful, don't upset hull fans with an uncomfortable question you might get banned..very delicate flowers they are
They don't like me on there board.. they are free to abuse and swear at me ...I never reply in kind..but they want me banned, they keep threatening It, ... Im terrified... what a pathetic bunch..
there is no release clause in his contract but if rumours are to be believed all the man utd lads have sell on clauses of 15%, im not sure we would except any offer from you guys but in todays market i would value stewart between 4-5 million
As we don't want to sell him, we'll set a price that's way more than he's worth, he's a key member of our starting XI, so none of the issues you've mentioned are relevant(particularly as Hammill isn't coming in as his replacement). You're also probably looking at a £1m surcharge, just because our owner doesn't want to do business with you and I suspect the release clause is nonsense, as if it was true, you'd have triggered it already and we wouldn't be having this conversation. I have no idea how much it would take to get our owners to overlook the fact that they don't want to deal with you, but I suspect it would have to be well over £3m.
Explain what you mean by 'in today's market' because i've never seen a 20 year old winger who was released for peanuts by Man Utd go for 5m a year later having played 20 games.
This is economics, pure and simple. You have, at the moment, one buyer and one seller. The buyer must pay the price the seller wants or not buy. We don't want or need to sell. The owners particularly don't want to do business with Pearson. If you want him you will have to offer ridiculous money. All this talk of how much we paid for him, how old he is, the fact he has been injured etc etc is all irrelevant. If you want him, pay ridiculous money, otherwise phuck off.
So you havn't understood my basic point then. All i'm asking is what you think his value is and what price your owners will sell him for.
This situation is obviously weighing heavily on Cameron's mind today... Cameron7Stewart Cameron Stewart Think Anderson's hair looking better that way definitely
over inflated prices it seems the going rate for a good championship player is 5 million ,1.5 million isnt enough to buy his left testicle
Since when was the going rate for someone who has played about 5/6 games at a good enough standard 5m? Deluded
I'm not sure why you feel the need to mention 5/6 good games in every post, he's played 26 times for us and you don't have the slightest idea how he played in the vast majority of them, as you didn't see them. It would also beg the question, what are you doing bidding millions of pounds for a bloke who's only ever played five good games? The answer, quite obviously, is that he's been exceptionally good in the vast majority of the games he's played for us and that's why you're bidding.
This debate is on both boards right now. The difference is that yours is relatively civilised because our supporters are contributing sensible posts, while ours has turned into a 5lagging match because 'I used to be john fallen' is coming out with comments like; âEvery time we put a bid in for a hull player it costs them money the agent goes in and says look what he could get elsewhere, then your tight wad might say no..and the players form drops off a bit..he is unsettled ,loses form..ect...his head is turned...then its the slippery slope... you know its true... â and "personal abuse..tut, tut... back to your favourite...men's knobs... what would freud say? deep breaths...in , out.... that blood pressure looks too high son...have a lay down, there's a good lad." and he is also wumming on another thread. Considering a few decent fans on both boards have been trying to calm down the atmosphere between City and Leicester recently I hope you will treat this bloke with the disrespect he deserves and that Proud Fox will grow some and give him a warning at least. The alternative is that this board will be inundated with our WUMs again.
I'm going on what your fellow fans have said. Apparently, he's only played about 5/6 games a t a top standard during the period when Barmby first started and you were winning a lot.
