What do people think the players ratings are so far this season? Base them on what you have seen so far.

    Goalkeepers:*
Krul: 9 - a few mistakes which have cost us goals but he has won us so many points
Elliot: 4 - a rather disappointing display away at Forest.

    Defenders:
Simpson: 7 - Again, a few mistakes but he has been an improvement, still needs to up his game more as he gets caught a lot.
Coloccini: 10 - not many will disagree, such a class professional and model captain. He has been sensational, best defender for years!
Taylor: 9: Before his injury, him and Colo formed a great partnership, hardly put a foot wrong, such a shame he was injured.
Williamson: 8- not done much wrong in my opinion, has been a good replacement for Taylor.
Raylor: 9 - My surprise package. He played really well at left back, keeping Santon out the team. He is no fuss at all, he just loves playing, can't fault him, he has made a few mistakes but who hasn't?*
Santon: 7- seven and rising. His performance against Blackburn in the cup was his best yet, he keeps getting better with games, adjusting to the English game.
Perch: 6 - His goals conceded record is horrible, just horrible, but when called upon he has been there, and not as bad as many thought he would have been.

    Midfielders:*
Obertan: 5 - Hasn't done much, just two assists and 1 shot on target, but I fully believe we need to give him a chance, the abuse is getting beyond a joke.
Tiote: 6 - He hasn't been as good as last season, his footballing ability has a question mark over it but defensive he has been good. He was injured for a big part but from what I have seen, he could improve, his performance against Man Utd made it a 6 from me.
Cabaye: 9 - not done a lot wrong. His technical ability is something we have been craving, he has settled in well and has scored 3 amazing goals. Just hope he is here for years to come.
Gutierrez: 8 - I thought he had lost his attacking ability, but his performance against Blackburn was brilliant. Such a hard worker but could improve going forward.
Guthrie: 8 - From what I saw, he was brilliant. He made up for us missing Tiote and put in some great performances.
Vuckic: 7: All I am going to say is, you can tell this lad has got it.*
Abeid: 7: based on the two performances I have seen, he is the same as Vuckic.*
Gosling: 4 - Just hasnt impressed at all.
Sammy: 5 - Building himself up but hasn't done anything that stands put so far.

    Attackers:
Ben Arfa: 7 - Two brilliant goals, but could improve his game by passing. I'm so glad he is fit again though, he has the potential to be a 10 very soon.
Leon Best: 6 - Always offside and his goals record is poor, needs to improve but he is a handful.
Shola: 4 - Same old Shola really.
    Lovenkrands: 3 - Losing it.
Demba Ba: 15 since Ramadan - ****ing love this bloke and his strawberry syrup. Best player by far!

    Overall: 8

Been such a successful season so far. It's not a good start anymore, we are over half way now and we are still contending with the top 6, however we have slipped up a few times to allow teams to catch up, but we were never going to win them all.

    Thoughts? Have I missed anyone?

Pretty much agree, would put Raylor at a 6 though, take away the goals and he has been average defensively.

    This

Against good teams and when Joan's hasn't been playing as a second LB Taylor has got raped.

He does however offer a more stable option going forward with his crossing and dead balls

    6 for me

On his performances I'd give Colo a 9, but seeing as since he's been captain, our defence has looked much better, I'd boost him to a 9.5

to be fair best is always in the right place to score but ba and others always nick them just ahead of him.

Harsh on Shola - he changed the game for us yesterday. When he came on, we began holding up the play so much better, which allowed Ben Arfa and Gutierrez to get much more into the game.

Elliot deserves a 4.3 because he seems like a nice chap <ok>

Pretty much agreed with the exception of Gosling, the sending off was very harsh (especially as it shouldn't have been a straight red <steam>) and up to that point he'd done okay I felt.
A 6 at best, but not the same rating as Shola.

Agree with Obertan it seems like the crowd want to get on his back straight away before he has even took his first touch, Gosling i think is harsh he was having a decent game vs norwich before a suicidal few minutes, I still rate him <ok>, Ryan Taylor has been iffy, however he gets a 9 straight away for scoring against the mackems. Best after a good start has faded away, 6 is harsh on tiote he had a few poor games just after his injury but has been solid enough

I think raylor should be around a 6/7 and Shola should be a 6 because he has played quite well i some matches, like yesterday and against Spurs

A 3 for Lovenkrands is a bit harsh seeing as he's only really played in the cup, and he got 3 goals in those 3 games.

    Raylor 7 - dodgy defensively
Tiote 7 - 6 is far too harsh.
Shola 6 - had some flashes.

I wouldn't be able to rate Gosling without seeing more of him, he hasn't really been given the chance to shine, yet his performances during our trip to the US were brilliant!

You missed off marvuex who i think is class and adds good competition for both wings. I think Maurvuex deserves a 7

I wouldnt say Cabaye's worthy of a 9, he's been good but there's been a few games where he's been pretty anonymous.

Also, why are there asterisks at the end of some of your sentences?

    Agree with Raylor and Tiote,
Shola 5 - Average, poor at times, great at times, exactly as he's always been.
Elliot 5 - Hasn't impressed but had a makeshift team in front of him and wasn't MASSIVELY at fault, just not amazing.

Hmm, but you can't give him a 7 for "adding competition" - I think he's been ok, a good performance in the cup, but other than that I've not seen much from him.

Also I think the rating for tiote is very harsh, 7 at least. He was class after ramadan, against teams like spurs/villa etc, and him and cabaye started forming a great partnership before he got injured. He allows cab aye to play his game, as when they don't play together, cab aye seems more subdued.

Obertan is the scapegoat of the team, mostly due to his alien head. I think he's a very good player and I hope we keep the faith.
