This sounds like Isawthepremierleaguetigers. Only one good ref this season i think he said. The row behind me must always be up for grabs as i get new people every game. Some good some bad.
There's a bloke behind me who hates Nick Barmby. I've had to listen to his drivel for a number of years now. Can't remember the game but Nick came on as sub and scored the winner - that shut him up for a while. Had hoped that he would vote with his feet when Nick took managers job alas, he is still spouting the same old rubbish. I think he actually likes it when we lose so he can blame Barmby. Always wonder what guys like him get out of coming to the match as it clearly distressess him......
There was an old couple behind me who thought they were the future coaches of england and next to me there was a man who kept clicking his fingers and was constantly saying come on or tackle - he was the first team coach of england
my family ... at home my colleagues ... at work no-one ... at Hull City games (although many of the people that sit near me would probably say that I am annoying).
I think they may sit a bit lower down than that, more like row L or M, end of the row, right next to the steps I was in the South stand for yesterdays game but they are always just behind me in E1
I've sat in every stand in the last couple of seasons and can say without doubt that each and everyone has a smattering of tools. The ones that I find most annoying are those who don't just call the players by their first names , they put a personal slant on it. You know the ones I'm talking about. 'Come on Cammy' - Cameron Stewart. 'Great header Chez'- James Chester. 'Tones having a shocker'- Anthony Gerard. Just s few examples but the one that took the biscuit was some bloke at the South stand at the start of the season. 'Have a dig Matthew' Like he was his Dad. No in fact calling Stewart 'Cammy' is the worst example of this kind of shananigans.
Sounds like TWF only he did it on here then Barmby got the winner, at least one time. I don't mind what people come out with so long as it's not racist stuff
I checked, and I do indeed sit in W4, so I will be close to you somewhere. Haha. I certainly aren't that person but I would sympathise with his views, even if the way he apparently puts them across is a bit off. Pretending refs are always right is the attitude the FA have, and it really gets us nowhere as a football nation. I'm not the only person on here who fins the standard of Championship refereeing to be appalling. I actually thought yesterday's ref was okayish, a few completely stupid minor decisions like you always get, but he was a decent 6 or 7 out of 10 I suppose.
well the ref ruined this game, wouldnt have even been a foul ten years ago, football is becoming **** to watch, might go full time on the darts!
I get greeted with "oh you're here then" that is hardly a surprise considering that I have had the same seat for four seasons. Apparently when I miss a match and my seats empty they say "he's not here then". But I for one am glad we have changed pie suppliers, the new ones aren't as flaky as last seasons. You may think this off thread, but until I bought a hat, I would wake up every other Sunday morning with the worst sort of dandruff that could be imagined. ****ing say it don't spray it! This "forward' stream starts I'm sure form the twats near me. It got that bad that I started to believe that I was seeing a different style of play. I am thinking of going into the West Stand next season. There is Block of empty seats right on the half way and I might give them a try, maybe if we all moved to the same block we could liven the whole place up!
Was sat near the 'ulltra's yesterday, with some very awkward looking parents and a few little kids and pensioners that left with an expanded vocabulary.
I thought the 'ulltra's made a difference yesterday, considering there was half the normal crowd, they definitely improved the atmosphere. The kids and pensioners may need to be relocated though.
Didnt Man U have a player red carded a tad harshly at one nil in the previous fixture between them? Cant get more even than that!
That was a ridiculous decision, even more so if you consider it wasn't a challege that Nani looked to be complaining about, he was about to carry on with the game! Nothing wrong with the challenge at all, football will become a non contact sport if players are sent off for challenges like that.
as soon as he gave the free kick, you just knew he was going to pull out the red, cant just give a free kick these days..its either play on or your off..
