More good management from Lambert. Spoke to Tom Adeyami last night to check on his welfare. I doubt many other managers would have bothered too much about a young player who is out on loan for the rest of the season.

If that's the case, and you're ahead of me in the predictiom leagues, I wonder if CS is open to bribes not to post his thread until the deadlines for predictions have passed <evil hooded claw/Dick Dastardley emoticon>

As you may be aware I studied Politics, making me infinitely more open to corruption and bribery. What's your offer?

I told you lot this morning about the romance of the cup!

Nothing sweeter than putting in a performance like that and then just allowing yourself just for a split second to imagine what it would feel like to be at Wembley. Obviously reality hits home instantaneously and in all likelyhood it will never happen but its a great day today.

Great win, great performance, great passing, great substitutions (as always), great belief in the squad, great run out an game time for Ayala, Whitbread, Rudd and Drury, great confidence to take into our next game, great competition for places...

ONE PAUL LAMBERT, THERE'S ONLY ONE PAUL LAMBERT, ONE PAUL LAMBERT, THERE'S ONLY ONE PAUL LAMBERT!

Got to mention this - Ayala's first touch is absolutely sublime - Class act.

(Just don't allow anyone with pace to run at him!)

Just noticed that Paul Lambert is an 18/1 shot with Victor Chandler for Premier League Manager of the season. Pretty good odds I would think. Roberto Mancini is the favourite. While Mancini is undoubtedly a good manager, surely if we were to stay up and finish mid table, that would be a much greater achievement than Mancini winning the title?

STOP PRESS. I have appealed to myself against the red card and have had it rescinded. Gordon Taylor intervened on my behalf and the Disciplinary Panel caved in. So I'm free to head butt, I mean post, as usual. Fantastic news as I'm sure you'll all agree ....
