yes, but i think this season, more than most, we all need a good cup run to a. boost confidence in players and fans, and b. boost the coffers. Playing the youngsters might keep a few of the dissenters quiet, but it wouldn't necessarily be the best thing for the club in the short term, which is what, i think right now we need to be concentrating on...
**** some people dont know when they are not welcome(only joking MrsN had a great time and thats all that matters!(thank god for twitter)! well done Brucie for proving me wrong .......now do it against quality opposition!will take some time to catch up conceding two goals to a weakened Bradford team doesnt sound good! Sords and Troy playing in the match ,very helpful!
yawn back at you ! so you obviously have no interest in the future of the club ,financially or on the pitch! golden true ,dont make me laugh!
I see the argument, and it could well be that you're right and I'm wrong. But our business model relies on us effectively being the country's most successful nursery club, both in terms of competing in the Championship and bringing youngsters through year after year. Dyche is doing a lot of good things, and I rate him as highly as anyone does. Specifically, I agree with him about building a more rounded squad and not throwing people in to the extent that we did with Scott Loach, Ross Jenkins and Lee Hodson. I just feel that he has gone a little bit too far the other way.
Just spotted this on the Newsnow site, a thorough display says SD: http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/542484470?-276
i can see that, and though not all of the youngsters on the bench today were home grown, there was a mix of youngsters on the bench today and that was good to see. I am certain that SD cares deeply for our youth, and yes, maybe he's being a little over protective, but i feel sure he will do right by them, and in turn, by the academy.
Reading between the lines from fb and twitter and other websites a fortunate result ! the team that played today against a championship side ,is cause for concern ! but at least were in the hat for the next round! Derby county away please!
Thought I was the only one that thought along these lines , especially the way I have been villified and racially abused , I have registered my complaint to the FA ! of the abusive behaviour I have recieved from watford fans! Joking
The FA don't need an excuse to throw the book at Watford. They're probably still angry that we had a go at Attwell a few years back.
jonmarks72 Jon Marks On the 2 previous occasions #watfordfc have beaten L2 opposition in Round 3, they have gone on to reach semi-finals..... i like this stat!
So whats the opinion Is Bondy up to the job if Loachy goes? he has had good reviews in the developmental games and oot on loan!
If Loachy goes, we have, at the moment, an inexperienced, future good goalkeeper. He was shaky at times, but he seemed to communicate well with the back 4 and came for the ball when necessary. However, there were some very scary moments as well.
Ak wants Man United for travel purposes. A few people want Stevenage (some for very different reasons to others). Any other ties we're particularly keen on for non-financial reasons?
A team we can beat to give eldest a 16th birthday present. We came over for his 15th birthday, which was the Brighton game. This time we won't be there (wherever there will be) as his Grandad is coming over from France that weekend.
I wouldn't mind villa simply because Hogg might feel he has something to prove and will play even better than usual
