I toyed with that as well, but I didn't want to accuse Red & White of having a rearranged face on top of a hunch.
no worries mate, there was no offence taken, yes all for an easier hunch but fear pompey wont be left in it after tomorrow. COYS
Either Arsenal for a battle of the youth teams and too see oxo. Or man city because Yaya toure and Adam johnson are two of my favourite prem players. Maybe newcastle for big demba is another fav.
Whoever we play I hope we play the youngsters/reserves again. We have two very important league games within a week of the fa cup game and need as many first teamers available as possible.
just hope for A LOT of snow for postponement after postponement - theres your way! **whispers** or just wait till next season
Thought I'd make the point about TV coverage, seeing as ITV are broadcasting the FA Cup 3rd round as I type. I've just tuned clicked to the ITV Player live broadcast, and on reaching it, the channel was at an advert. I've been watching all of 5 minutes and there have been two advert breaks already..! And some people were criticising the Beeb for their coverage of the Football league..? Ha..!
I want us to play a totally unfashionable team (Shrewsbury are out at present) from the lower leagues, so that the match is not televised, and thus the youth players we will inevitably play will slip under the radar, should they play a blinder. Dagenham and Redbridge would do if they win their replay.
Don't want to start a new thread about this, but apart from missing 5 minutes at the start of the FA Cup programme tonight on ITV, via their Player, I waded through their endless adverts in order to see Saints V Coventry. And I missed it. I had a break in my Broadband for 30 seconds, near the end. So please tell me - did ITV show our game near the beginning of the show, or am I that unlucky to have had my broadband break connection while Saints were on..? I'd appreciate if someone bothers to answer this. Cheers
It was near the end, you are just that unlucky. They just showed the three goals. The highlights should go on the ITV website in the next couple of days so you will be able to catch the goals (they weren't that exciting).
Thank you Qwerty. That's typical of me. Except in one or two key areas, I've always had the most appalling timing. When I lost my connection for that short time I felt Saints would be on. I just needed your confirmation. Cheers. It's no consolation that the goals weren't that exciting.
