It's a shame Cardiff got knocked out today, because they've now got that weekend free to prepare for coming to us on the following Tuesday. Only slight upside is that they've got their Carling Cup semi-final 2nd leg (with possible extra time and penalties) the week before - but even then, we've got the Leicester game 24 hours earlier.
NA says Chelsea away so that Corkie can play at Stamford Bridge, I don't think he realised who they are playing tomorrow, do you?
id love portsmouth... to make ammends.. and ofcourse at there terrible state of a stadium.. hopefully 4-0 would be nice!
I would settle for anyone at home (except Pompey because those games are more trouble than they are worth).
That would be the worst draw possible for me. In between games against Leicester and Cardiff, we'll have little choice but to rest players again for this tie - so the last thing we want is to playing an under-strength team against Pompey. I don't really fancy another 4-1 defeat.
Alright Richard III, how on earth did you come to that conclusion..? It could be anybody who wins their particular tie.
just a hunch mate - my hunch before the 3rd round draw was coventry http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/106134-FA-Cup-Draw?p=1802547#post1802547 like you say - could be any number of teams. Glad to be in the hat
Sorry mate. I've just visited my dodgy mood on you after receiving a ****ty e-mail from someone who I was trying to help. Actually, I thought my Richard III reference was quite amusing [probably only to me though]. Any chance of having an easier hunch than Norwich though..? Some team we can beat by fielding a whole load of youngsters, Poortvliet style..?
A home game, for the reasons already stated. A minnow so we can give the nippers more match day action.
Thinking about it, we probably want a little side to give the youngsters a go again. If we drew a top PL side the fans would rush to buy tickets despite knowing that we would probably have to field a second string side. That would be rubbish.
