    Cheers mate , appreciate it.

At first I was unsure whether I should go for the Business with Marketing option or for just Marketing Management. Opted for the latter. Don't how what the equivalent for 3 A-Levels is in Belgian grades but I really hope I get it now <laugh> That would be my ST sorted!

See your location is Spennymoor - any of your older family used to support Spennymoor FC back in the 60s or 70s ?

I'm actually living in the Stephenson Building now myself. It's one of the cheaper options out of all the student halls and it's still a really short walk from the campus, especially City Campus East.

To the OP, Newcastle is brilliant! I moved up from Peterborough in the midlands and have noticed a lot of things... 1) the people are really friendly, 2) the nightlife is amazing 3) the nightlife is as cheap as chips 4) being able to walk into the city centre in about 10 minutes is brilliant! 5) you can watch the club you support frequently (especially if you're a steward like me and get paid to do it).

This sounds ideal! City Campus East is where I'll have to be as that's where everything business related is taught and lectured. And just a 10 minute walk to the city centre!

    Pretty much the dream.

    I'm going for it.

Just finished at northumbria uni. First year i was living in glenamara house which was great as it is about two minutes from uni and about 10 mins from the centre.
Second year stayed in Heaton. Really cheap and still close enough to walk in or buses every minute.
Third year i moved to Jesmond which was a massive mistake as it is a long way from uni and too expensive for the facilities there (a few bars and a tesco). Defiantly recommend northumbria uni but make sure you chose somewhere decent to live.

What?!? When? Gutted, some right memories there, we tend to park round there for evening/Sunday games when the parkings free just to wander through.

Would highly recommend Newcastle for uni, student nights through the week are outstanding. Weekends more expensive...

Though I don't know the course you're applying for, it might be worth going for Newcastle over Northumbria if you get the choice, just for the prestige of the uni. Northumbria's the best 'new' (i.e. ex-polytechnic) uni in the country, but Newcastle's in the Russell Group of elite Universities (I don't know how much of this you know, don't want to be patronising! But I was surprised how few people actually knew about the Russell Group etc.), so expect better careers prospects etc.

Northumbria's still an excellent uni though, don't get me wrong. But some people - including several careers tutors at my old school - tried to suggest all universities, all courses and all degrees were worth the same. That's bullshit.

Applied for both and Durham University as well.

The latter is an excellent university and although it would be a bit further than where I was planning to stay , academically it would be a great opportunity.

it's quite a big chip on northumbria students' shoulders imo

the whole poly vs posh. always make it a competition between the unis. some clubs play on it.

    meh

    This isn't you is it?

Had my ST (which my match ticket had been put on ) checked as soon as I got to level 3 and the guy said everything was fine, then the guy at the gate asked to see it and even though I told him it had been checked he isisted on seeing it, numb nuts came along and asked to see it and then isisted that I went to the Box Office and got a paper ticket. Of course there wa a massive queue at the BO and although I'd been at the ground two hours early I actually missed the first two minutes of the game. Would have hated it if I'd missed any goals.
