OK so no one is interested in it theses day's,but we are in the next round now so who would you like us to draw in the fourth round. Manure ? Stevenage ?
Part of me would like to see us draw a PL team, but at the same time would like to try and have a cup run. A winnable tie would do, and we'll have progressed further in the FA cup this season than either Man U or Citeh
A PL side or Lg1 or 2 for me not anothe NPC side - thought we did well today with a mostly second string out against their full side - glad I went. Mannone looked dominant if at fault to a degree with their goal in beating it back straight out to Jason Scotland. Minutes on the picth though for him before we play Peterboro next sat in the league - head and shoulders above Gulacsi and Basso.
Crawley away so I can tick it off the ground list. And so I can see if this matt Tubbs lad is any good........
Not that I'm interested this year, but when I am interested I want away games at local (well for me very northern) lower league teams I've not been to. Lets me chalk a ground off and gives me the novelty of terracing again. I think Cardiff away at Ninian Park was the last time I was on a terrace for one of our games.
I agree, a winnable tie will do nicely, and have a good run. If the draws favour you, you never know how far you can get.
Liverpool away as I do believe they're the only league club we've never beaten in an official competition..
are bournemouth still in if so then them so i have an excuse to go to the ground!!!!! haha Forget that they got knocked out by Truro City!?!?!?! in qualifiying lol
Notts County away. Failing that either Wolves/Brum, Leicester/Forest or Derby away. Think they're the only teams nearby me left in it.
QPR so we can compare how we are progressing or Crawley because it's a 10 minute drive (or 20 minutes on the bus)
FA Cup always throws up some great games with a twist. Could see us getting Spurs, Barmby's first club.
Someone crap at home, another chance to give squad players a go and progress that little bit further, if you do make it into the 5th round draw, all of a sudden a semi final at Wembley becomes that much more of a realistic proposition
ITV tend to pick games were a PL side is away to lower opposition (unless the likes of the Manchester Derby) is thrown up of course. On that basis we would need a PL side at home for it to be televised. (ITV get the first and fourth pick of the ties to televise in the fourth round). ESPN on the other hand are less predictable and have the second, third and fifth picks of the fourth round, where the fifth pick is played either a Friday or Monday night, if you aren't already in Dublin at that point.
I hate it that they play semi's at Wembley,it's too exspensive for a lot of fans Wembley should be for finals anyway. It takes something away from the tradition of the big day.
Just read this desperate set of excuses by Paul Jewell for today. Reckon he won't last much longer going by the ITFC fans comments: http://www.twtd.co.uk/news.php?storyid=19897
