When he was signed most people thought it was a good buy if expensive, including some on this board who were frustrated with the lack of signings at Arsenal at the time. I'm surprised at how poor LFC have been this year, almost as much as at how much we have recovered above them after our lamentable start.

Surely Clive Allen was our worst buy. He never even scored.
Still we did alright with Kenny Sansom

Downing has been cack - but i would say Henderson and Carrol have been a right waste of money too - Otherwise known as England Golden Generation 2.0 - I loved the reasoning to buy Downing we need a good crosser to get Carroll more involved - talk about pi$$ing on yourself to put out the flames after you set yourself on fire

Let's see what he's like when he comes back from his injury. Let's hope it isn't another Eduardo/Rosicky/TV.

Wilshere is there along with hart and Richards there are good technically gifted english players about some getting there and some who have the potential to get ther ala wellbeck jones oxo Johnson. Mo
St who could do without the absolutely ridiculous amount of hype placed on them by the media.
