darren bent is better then defoe darren scores goals at big grounds hes scored loads at old trafford and always scores aganst arsenal defoe never scores at emirates or old trafford
Ah, fair play and well done You won't mind if I generalise and call you a bigoted spud though will you?
I'm not up to the challenge, but surely this would be better than the swastika on it's own? It's still a bird, just needs a lick of red paint and it'd be perfect. please log in to view this image
Not quite, he scored a bycicle kick in the home game but King scored in our away game. I'd have Defoe over Bent anyday. Anyone who says that they'd 'have Bent over Defoe' is treading a fine line in innuendo.
This from a set of fans that sing about an opposing players dad washing elephants (and it was the majority of fans, not just one!)
The majority? I don't think so. As I've said already, there are a large number of people that don't think that song's racist, for some reason. They wouldn't sing it if they thought it was. No such doubts about calling someone a black **** and then bursting into song about Luis Suarez, which I don't think that you can put down to one fan, somehow. How loud's his voice? Individual fans can't be blamed upon the club, as you'll always get some idiots at any ground. A club openly supporting racist comments is another thing entirely.
If you think I or LFC are openly supporting racism then you're just another idiot who's jumping onto the bandwagon.....with your club (or most tbh) not in a position to gloat. One person has been arrested, they should throw the book at him. Same goes for anyone else in any club. Period. But don't sit there whiter than white as though your supporters/team have the moral high ground - nobody does in this....certainly not LFC or Spurs on the two issues highlighted alone....so give it a rest.
Liverpool defended a player that admitted to making a racist comment. The sensible thing to have done would have been to apologise for it, explain it away as a cultural misunderstanding and accept the (probably vastly smaller) punishment that it deserved. The club's stance on this matter has lead to some truly dire 'fan' behaviour, instead. The Collymore abuse, Oldham's defender having to hear the same and the fans directing linking it to Suarez has tarnished the club's name, whether you like it or not. As I've already stated, you get idiots at every club. Unfortunately some of yours were in an official capacity.
I sang it a few times but I don't anymore. Most fans that I know do/did sing it felt it was akin to calling a Welshman sheep shagger. Again, it's not right that I, or others did but it was regularly sung by a lot of fans and the FA did nothing so why would we think it's racist? Since Adebayor complained, I haven't heard it.
I've heard on Radio Norfolk that Adeyemi (on loan Norwich midfielder at Oldham) wouldn't press charges, but the least Liverpool should do is give the bloke who said it some sort of ban.
