Fortunate victory I know, but he will improve for that (will certainly need to). ****ing magnificent price and that has sorted my day out rather well Oddy! Keeps the antepost bet alive, but doesn't look like a strong chance at the moment. Very much a future chaser but remember, Sprinter Sacre wasn't perfect last year and he looked the likely winner at the final fence of the Supreme.
Well done Toppy but have to agree with the other lads - can't see him winning the Supreme. Maybe the Arkle next season?
He has to have a shout in the Supreme, even if Colour Squadron hung a little, you would imagine Captain Conan has a fair bit of improvement to come, seeing as that was his debut for Henderson. So I wouldn't expect Colour Squadron to be reversing the form, even if he doesn't hang, in future. Still you would imagine that chasing will be his target long term
I have also backed Neptune Collonges EW today, a favourite of mine and I was impressed by his effort last time. A return to Sandown with the maestro on his back can bring out the best in him. Reverse forecast with the jolly too.
I did chuckle when she said "he's really very straightforward" in an interview after a race in which he had thrown away victory by hanging badly! But, yes, she is a nice lady.
Hold on ........ Julio is carrying my shilling! I love this type of horse that progresses up through the ranks, until eventually they reach their maximum potential, and this horse has lots of that. Wide open contest this - good luck to all
