Not sure the error at the last would have made much difference Oddy, the market got it right and the PN horse won it in style
Tanks For That had too much weight against a better handicapped horse. You can bet the handicapper won't drop him a pound though, he'll just put the Nicholls horse up 10lbs.
That's just coincidence Zen Agree about All For Free though - he's won over 17f, but bombed out at 2.5 miles, although that may have been the going (GTF)
A brave race from the front for Waabel there 25/1 the place is plenty good enough for me, thought he had it turning for home.
Good run by Loyal Royal, shame he ran up the backsides of a couple early in the race otherwise he he would have gone very close to winning. Still another return for the day. Happy days.
I think he's best fresh Oddy. Might be of interest for the Grand Annual if Henderson sends him straight there. He ran really well first time up last season and then tailed off afterwards and looks like he might do the same this time around.
That's what I was thinking Zen, but if the handicapper doesn't drop him a couple of pounds it will be a struggle for him again
It just niggles me Toppy that Henderson is starting him here. Either he sees no other chance to get a run into him (which I can't believe) or he seriously thinks he can win it. Could look a ridiculous price in half an hour
I've backed Captain Conan - anything for a laugh I would like to see Magnifique Etoile go well for Longsdon aswell
NH was asked about Captain Conan on the Morning Line. He says he knows nothing at all. That they are hopeful he will be something special but that this race will tell them what he is about. Edit: I have had a little flutter on Magnifique Etoile myself
Henderson simply has to send Simonsig to the Supreme. The rest look like dogs. I'm a mug if anything in that race is a Supreme winner.
