A little birdy tells me that Nigel has been given 2 million rather than 10 to spend due to the fact that a lot of their investors have pulled out leaving the ladyboy man and son team to be their sole investors. Apparently most of their cash was used to buy the team, clear the big debt Leicester were carrying and on the players they signed in the summer. In short it looks like their kitty is nearly empty. Shall we be sympathetic and give them killer/ade/mcshane for free?
I reckon it'll be somewhere between the two (£2m and £10m). They had a bid rejected for sharp of 2.2 and bid from Stewart at the same time.
Harap A couple of years ago we bid for Negrado, Zammora and Owen allegedly and we had no money either. Maybe thats why they made such a derisory bid for Stewart in case we accepted a higher one. Then they had to back down because they had no money. How embarrasing would that have been for happy crack Nigel?
I went on the FoxesTalk messageboard the other day and asked a simple question "How much are your owners worth"? and not one single person could tell me. I was then mysteriously banned without doing anything to deserve it. I think it's obvious who is desperate to make things up.
There is a well know investigative journo with his eyes fixed firmly on your Ladyboys - time will tell, it always does with these foriegn-based johnnies
‘schadenfreude’ as defined by Lisa in The Simpsons means; The enjoyment obtained from the troubles of others which is the easiest, and often the most fulfilling, enjoyment available. I just think we have now given Leicester a fair kicking for their previous gloating and boasting and maybe it's time to give it a rest (unless they start up again of course).
David Conn is absolutely outstanding. Ken Bates was so frightened he decided to ban the whole of the guardian lot from elland road.
The fact that they just agreed a fee for Billy Sharp, presumably in the region of £3m, has slightly blown this theory out the water.
Looks like thet're having a clear out by not extending some loans and contracts in Berner and Fernandes - frees up a bit of wages for incoming players.
