Oddy, he isn't good enough for the Premiership, he should stay where he is for another season and then go forward. He is no Billy Sharp.

Huddersfield play some really good stuff, their wingers are a class apart in our league (your loanee is pretty good too mind)

Nass what a terrible statement. He is 21 years old and banging in goals for fun of course he is worth a chance in the premiership and is probably good enough as well. Put it this way he is better than DAVID GOODWILLE who plays for Blackburn (I just know I am going to hear Goal scored for Blackburn number 25 David Goodwillie today now) . I remember Darren Bent at Ipswich as well in a lower level . I would defs be willing to take a chance on him.

    RV,

Put it this way, he is going to cost a few million, which I think is pretty poor value. He is playing in a team who are creating a plethora of chances and whilst he is in brilliant form, he doesn't do masses for the team (Alan Lee or Novak do the donkey work) but is a fox in the box. He reminds me of Francis Jeffers in the way that he scores for fun when in great form, but will he be as good in the Premiership in a team who creates very few chances? (he won't go to a top team so won't be getting as many chances)

He is young, he needs time to get even better and I think it would be a massive mistake to go to the Premiership now, especially as he is likely to go to a club who 'struggle' to create chances. I would rather spend the money on Billy Sharp who works harder and creates more for the team. As for Goodwillie, he is suffering the same fate as I think Rhodes would, lack of chances in front of goal.

I'm a huge fan of Colour Squadron and it will take a very good one to lower his colours today, particularly with the ground as it is. I think he has improved with every run and his defeat of Montbazon last time out was very good with a decent yardstick in Ericht well beaten. In fact, on a strict line through Ericht, Prospect Wells has something to find with Colour Squadron.

    Morning all
RV - maybe I exaggerated a tad by stating that Tanks was well in :) I make him 2lb better than Rileyev through Scooby, and two of his three wins have been on good-to-soft, as it is today, including over the course at 17f.
One of my quirks is to re-back a horse that wins for me until it loses, and Rileyev lost for me last time, hence me switching allegience ..... which pretty much guaranteees a Rileyev win then <laugh>
But it's an open race and should be a good spectacle <ok>

    Morning all, as said previously not the best days racing I've ever seen, but my bets at Sandown for a bit of interest today are;

Tanks for That - Tipped over early last time, and is worth another chance, especially if given an easy lead
Prospect Wells - Will be in for a bit of a test today against at least 2 worthy rivals in a fascinating little race, but I like the way he's been going about his business, and think he will come out on top.
Neptune Collonges - Love this old fella, and backed him in the Argento last year, when I was convinced he'd get an easy lead and he jumped them into the ground. Hope the same will happen today, especially with the master that is Ruby Walsh back in the saddle.

    Have a good day everyone!

I like my Lucky 15 EW a lot. lol

    1.20 Holmwood Legend 6/1
    2.05 Tanks for that 9/2
    3.10 The Knox 8/1
    3.20 Marajaa 6/1

    Others to look out for
    3.10 Neptune Collonges 9/1
3.25 Star of Angels (I thought 25/1 yesterday was good value on a small ew but now 9/1 can't recommend)
    2.45 Capone 7/2
    3.45 AtAGlance 12/1

Amazing the only 2m novice chase rhetoric on here has involved Peddlers Cross and Al Ferof.

Dex, interested to know why you can't have either of them for any race at Cheltenham? Course form can be key at HQ.

Two for me today at Newcastle:

1.25 Teerie Express 4/1 - on a winning mark and has course form, the ground should be no problem and goes well fresh
1.55 Glenwood Knight 9/1 - back over hurdles and if returning to old form should go close

2:05 king edmond. 11/1 seems huge. will love the ground and question marks against every runner.
2:35 captain conan. guessing henderson knows where he is with front 2 in betting through erict by chucking this in at the deep end, so gonna chance this one at 9/2. both jockey(on ATR website) and trainer seem very bullish.
