If he stays at Huddersfield we can never write them off but i think without him they are out of the promotion race. He has scored 25 of their 51 goals! Also worth mentioning Grant Basey is playing for wycombe but they have been truly outclassed.
I had a feeling jonjo would score tonight for pool, well done jj Hope Rhodes leaves then, would think so.
Hoping Huddersfield keep Rhodes until the end of January. Fingers crossed the speculation surrounding him will keep sports journalists occupied away from our players.
Exactly... !! There's no doubt he's a quality player. However, he's being made to look better than he is tonight. I'd be amazed if he's still at Huddersfield come the close of the transfer window.
It'll need to be right at the end of the window if the figures going round are true. If they sell him for £4.5 million+ then think how much they could strengthen their squad, if he goes halfway through the window giving them time to use the money, then Huddersfield could be right back in the top two soon enough. (This is where i got the £4.5 million from) http://www.guardian-series.co.uk/sport/9460037.Hammers_increase_offer_for_Rhodes/
Doesn't Rhodes have a tidy sell on fee, so I they get 4mil, they will have to give 30% to ipswich(think that's where he was from?).
Yes, it was Ipswich, but even so 70% of almost 5 million is still more than enough for a League One team!
No arguments here about 70% of 4milluon being more than enough in this league. I just wonder if you can replace Rhodes.
Swapping Vardy for Rhodes plus £2m sounds good business but what if Vardy doesn't score in his first 5 or 6 games then the whole team would be disheartened
Anybody hear the Five Live interview with him tonight - came across as a modest young man, slightly bemused with the attention that he's attracting. Good luck to him, but not, hopefully against us. Talking of goals, went down the pub at half time just to watch a great goal scorer back in action, and what do you know? He produces one of the iconic footballing moments in recent years. Thierry Henry - pure class.
