While we all debate about resting players and giving others a chance, MoN has said in an interview today that far from playing a 2nd string, or 'weakened' team on Sunday, he intends to pick the strongest team available to him to not only continue the FA Cup interest for everyone at the club but to keep the winning feeling going too.

I said MoN was a very serious cup competition manager, hence his excellent cup final trophy haul with Leicester & A Villa in England and Cletic in Scotland in recent years.

A completely refreshing message and it does it for me I have to say.

Que sera sera as they say!!!!

Brilliant news. The lads have a week to rest before Chelsea. Ample time. I'd love to see us hammer Posh and put the frights on Chelsea's aging stars.

Be nice to play the strongest team and, without being disrespectful to posh, to get the game sewn up early on thus allowing some fringe players to get some game time.

Agree with all posters up to now...what a difference now we have a positive manager who want to win every game.

A breath of fresh air : I'd like to know the last time a premier league manager said "I'm putting my strongest team out", prior to a 3rd round FA cup tie. Good lad Marty, you can never get sick of winning.

    Nice.

Momentum is an awesome force, both positive and negative. Glad to see MON wants everyone to enjoy the ride and keep it building. Smart man if you ask me (which people rarely do).

Good news, hopefully an unchanged side from the 4-1 win at Wigan.

    Hmmm.

Does that mean he is going to start the game with strikers? :p

Ha, sometimes I think I hear this faint voice in my head asking questions. Maybe it was him. Or her. Not sure really.
