I thought this for ages and still think it now. I really believe United will sell Evra at the end of the season. Over the years Evra has had a lot of mixed press surrounding him that I know for a fact Alex Ferguson wont like. I am not saying 'he will be sold for lieing', I am basing my prediction on a variety of incident that have happened over the years, including his incident with the Chelsea staff member and his arguing with refs.
Why not comment on one of the dozen or so threads on this matter rather than creating a brand new one.
Here we go.... Even if you don't want it to turn into Suarez x Evra it is going to because you are Liverpool talking about Evra. We really need to cut these out, Biasedopinion and Londonsfinest will be on this like a rash soon along with any other trying to stir things up.
I think we may well get rid of him come the end of the season. But that will be because of his relatively average performance level this season rather than anything to do with the press. Ronaldo, Rooney, Rio, Giggs, Beckham, Keane, Cantona and any number of other players got far more media attention than Evra, but as long as they were performing on the pitch they were kept. I do wonder why a Liverpool fan would be so concerned about this tho.
Don't think we'll get rid of him, although he's been average this season, on his day he his still top class and a leader on the pitch. Evra's experience, is enough of a reason to keep him around, regardless of the fact FB is our weakest position in terms of depth as the Da Silvas are always hurt. I can see a young talented LB being brought in during the summer an have Evra there as his mentor. Fergies stuck by players who've done worse things.
Maybe not been playing to his high standard but nothing about the Chelsea incident or Suarez will cause SAF to get rid of him.
Last season and even more noticeable this season there are times when ive thought "Evra should have been there", "Wheres Evra?" and "he should have caught up with him there". Maybe we were spoiled by how great he was, but there seems to have been a noticeable dip in his form. It'll be nice to see Fabio given some more game time on the left.. when he's back from injury that is. Not agreeing with selling Evra, but he's no longer infallible.
Stupid Flanders, its funny give it a listen
My mums boss is a United fan, and he think Rooney will leave United in the summer in the same manner Beckham did.
