Probably right. The goons are getting excited over someone who can give the occasional 10 minute cameo.

It was...almost exactly the same as Thierry Henrys knee slide celebration in front of Spurs fans!...apparently that was ok!!...definition of hypocrisy me thinks! <whistle>

  5. Henry will be a massive flop, and he will have forever besmirched his legendary status with the Goonlets.

    Some players cannot help themselves.

Even that smarmy git, Fabregas, has started to say that "one day, I will go back to Arsenal, because it is a club I love." <doh>

This is the club that he walked out on at a point in time when they needed him the most, and he let them down. What he really means is, "when I'm too old to play regularly for Barca, my boyhood club that I love above anything in the whole world, I will ponce my way back into the Arsenal squad, because THEY love me so much that they'd be stupid to have me back, and I'd walk straight back into their starting XI, on a top salary."

And I have absolutely no doubts that not only would AFC have him back as an old man (like they are with Henry), but their stupid fans would buy his shirt in their droves.

You scraped a win against Leeds at home, apart from his goal (which i'll admit had some class) Henry did sweet F.A., no touch and struggled to keep up when you were attacking.

  14. To be fair, no one is asking, and there is a very good reason for that.

Henry is one of the greatest players ever to grace English football. At his peak it was like Arsenal were playing with 12 men, he was that good and important to them. A bit like RVP now, although Henry was part of a better team.

He will probably worry a lot of teams this time round, but it's unlikely he'll be good enough for Arsenal to win a trophy. As to helping Arsenal make top 4, not sure ATM.

  17. The key thing is going to be whether or not Henry still has enough pace and stamina to play in the current Gooner squad. There's no doubting his ability to put the ball away, it's all about whether or not he's going to be in the right place at the right time to do it on a regular enough basis. As a sub, against a tiring LUFC side is one thing, but it'll be a far greater test against EPL sides, week in and week out.
