Theres a chance that Gary Cahill's move to Chelsea will be finalized on Sunday in next 48 hours. Also states that Chelsea and Bolton have agreed a fee and is a binding one. This was confirmed today after Gary Cahill scored the wining goal for Bolton against Everton.

He's awful. Not much better than Terry to be honest. Another overrated english chump, you should have waited until the summer you would have got him for nothing because nobody else is would be stupid enough to be in for him teh only reason Chelsea wan't him is because they are desperate.

£7m is a hell of a lot of money for a player out of contract in the summer..

Not excited about this signing at all, but maybe I'll be proved wrong?

True but he's also a hell of a player for 7m when you consider how much say phil jones and lescott cost the mancs.

I think we have also avoided getting involved in a war with spurs (and maybe others) which probably 'cost' us Pienaar last year.

Always hard to get excited about buying centre backs but he is probably exactly what we need and for a sensible price. Good business. Hoepfully more to come i.e some exciting attacking talent to replace Anelka.

He plays well for England, so should do alright in a team with good players around him.

Our boards been taken over by tottenham and qpr wums a lot recently, QPR and Tottenham fans should form their own team and name it JPR FC so the wums can all unite, ****ing idiots

Cahill is a great signing his partnership with Terry is solid for England. Which is why he will do well in Chelsea he just needs to play with better players. 7m is a bargain for him. How much did Jones cost Man U again? Oh thats right £17m and he is s h i t.

I'm a bit each way with Cahill as well, but happy to reserve judgement until he's bedded into the team.Let's hope he turns out to be a great player for us.
However, don't pay him silly wages, and piss off our other good players on sensible wages. We've done that too often.
We need some incentive payment system in place for everyone from now on, that reflects how well we go as a team. That way the players can self regulate ,and give a boot up the ringpiece to those not putting in enough effort. One for all and all for one.

I see Spurs have have stopped competing because they cant match our pay offer of £60k a week! Cahill's agent wants even more! I say stick at 60 and if thats not good enough, ship someone in from abroad!

bolton have, hit the jackpot if they get £7m for a player worth zilch in 6 months, he's a good player but surely it would be better to keep alex til the summer, let him go and sign cahilll on a free...

Alex wants to leave now, we need a replacement, 7m is nothing for an England player and this is the most important part of the season coming up.
