QPR have bid £5m according to SSN. If this is true, and accepted, we should be all over that deal.

Would like him to come to us but don't expect Blackburn to let him go for £5M, also at 27 does he fit our recruitment mold? He'll also be looking for his last(ish) big pay day at that age which may put us out of the running.

Would love to sign him but I think Pardew will be reluctant. We already have two of his type in Williamson and Saylor. Hence the Tomkins bids because he is ball playing centre half. Pards wants cover for Colo and a long term successor I think. Really like Samba though. As long as its not the one who came to St James!! To be honest we have two centre backs in their prime, one just having entered his, I think we need a one for the future to complement it. If I was playing FM I'd buy Samba though!

It does seem low but apparently his contract is up in the summer, maybe they will hope for a bidding war & then cash in?

Samba for £5m would be a no brainer, even as a replacement for Willo, he's a cut above. We should still look at Tomkins though, imagine the strength of our squad if we added Samba and Tomkins to Colo, Saylor and Willo. That would be top notch.

The thing I find strange about Samba is going by his name you'd expect some exciting Brazilian forward, instead you get The Hulk. Hulk & Samba should swap names, it would make sweeping generalizations easier <ok>

No way they'll sell him for 5m considering their season is on life support already. Avoid relegation is worth a lot more than that. Then again...what do those fools know about running a club?

27 is too young for a 'last pay day' job, especially for a CB of his mold. In 5 years time yeah, but at 27? Nah, this would suit us fine. I'm all for it.

Ok not last big pay day but a 5 year deal at 27 he would be looking towards his financial future.
